I remember watching this game at home, this was during the Rangers' terrible years...What a game, there was nothing like seeing the Flyers get absolutely manhandled like that! I remember ABC actually switched over to another game when it was 6-0!

The Sabres had a loaded team with solid veterans and still had Hasek...they should've beaten the Penguins and should've made the finals that year....

@Derek70388 You can't guarantee that lol. The Sabres were just a couple years from making the Cup themselves and I think this team was better than that cup team, but yeah the Devils defense was at its zenith at that particular time, would've been a really tough series.

@stashJ8 The Devils manhandled Pittsburgh in the ECF. They had the A-line plus Alexander Mogilny putting up sick numbers. Not to mention the team was a defensive powerhouse. Buffalo wouldn't have done any better than Pittsburgh.

@RalonzoP Cechmanek was a beast in the regular season then shit himself in the playoffs. Most of those other guys weren't supposed to be that good anyway. They got more than they expected from Leighton. Emery was fine until he got hurt and played with something that almost killed him. I don't have a problem with Boucher.

I stopped watching this crap after it was 4-0 and turned on a baseball game instead. It was a Phillys game so they kept reminding me by updating the score every inning. Very dissapointing after reaching the conference finals the year before.
