Awesome video.Panic disorder is considered a disorder, obviously. It fall under the mental illness category. I'm not sure what you really mean by disease though. A stroke is not a disease either. Your tips on these topics will surely be helpful to all.
i think that you are beautiful and because you care about yourself alot thats ok you only need to realize that and leave it alone you are you and i think you seem great with your already established beauty and personality thats instilled in you. just leave it be and live your fine
I love your accent. I hate my voice. When I hear it from a recording I sound terrible, same with pictures or videos. How do you get the bravery to make videos on here?
@jessicakennon thanku :) I was overcoming social anxiety for a year before I started putting videos on this channel. Just focus on increasing your self esteem & overcoming social anxiety. Watch vids on my channel in the playlist overcoming social anxiety, watch my vids, view my twitter feed, read articles & free resources on my website, theres also helpful products (link 2 my website, twitter & everything is on my channel) there is even an article about that exactly, voice anxiety on my website!
When you think up a turn-around, you should ask, "Is this as true as or truer than my original statement?" and come up with some reasons why it is true. Let your conscience be your guide.
Hahaha yeah you could become very uncompassionate! But from what I've seen, people don't really go that way. You need to chose the thoughts that are helpful. Disliking people wouldn't really be helpful to you or others & is therefore not a useful turnaround. I suppose this is the flaw in the Work method, however it is so awesome & helpful apart from that little negative thing about it. Maybe this is cleared up in the F.A.Q on the website or something, hopefully.
Some of my turnarounds sounded silly & negative, cause I was simply thinking of all the ways I could turn the thought around, true or not. Next time I will try to leave any silly or negative sounding turnarounds out. I'm not perfect :p
Thanks :) I'm glad you find my videos relate-able. You're not the only one! Part of the problem with S.A is that by it's very nature, people try to hide it & are not open with others about their negative thoughts & symptoms. So at first, everyone with S.A tends to think they are the only one in the world with this problem. S.A is one of the biggest mental health issues the population has, there is a lot of people with it.
Oh hi TameFan!! :) It wasn't really strong of me because I knew that analyzing my negative thoughts would make me calmer as I progressed. You don't look like what you are thinking you look like!
I DID! It Worked! I felt so confident that I could just be myself in front of the camera & had no anxiety after questioning the thoughts for awhile. :)
I knew this straight away. Firstly your voice does not have to sound perfect, you don't maintain a consistant self....... Just let it go and be free to speak how you feel..
ITS OK, we are not going to think your weird, infact i think it's very astute that you are so self aware......
Myself personally, your WORTH is not tied up with your looks.... everyone looks really good someways, under certain light rah rah...
YOU ARE LOVABLE!, as YOU ARE, i have the same problem
You have so many good things ahead of you!, it's your energy thats so attractive.... you just want to bath in it :).. Your aussie'ness is really apparent to me too........ far as aussies go, you have so much (natural) classssss :)
Only reason i check Youtube lately is to see if you've posted :)... anyway
Aw thanks :) I actually try to NOT sound Australian cause I think Mostly, the Australian accent is really dorky. I try to do a sophisticated sounding Australian Accent somehow, like Mirranda Kerrs accent.
I was gonna post that I noticed you sometimes sound american when u talk slowly . It's funny because coming from America, I got to say the Australian accent is by far the coolest, and I think it's one of the reasons I enjoy watching your videos so much. You DO sound very sophisticated. If I lived in Aussi land i'd be showin up at your doorstep with flowers :P Another thing about Australians is they always seem very layed back and open. Most of the kids in USA are pretty stuck up for no reason.
We don't sound dorky, just......ermm well not american :).....lol.
I think we have a real earthy-accent, thats sort of honest...... you have a great voice, i wouldn't worry about it, webcam's can make you way to self conscious....... i mean basically your on TV.... of course your going to think all sorts of stufff........ as you already know... :) ( and beat ! )
I've also been working a lot with my negative thoughts lately. you are doing great! It is some good turnarounds you found - I'm judging you positively, you're not fat, you're looking good

I believe this is a clever technique. I am optimistic because this is very relevant to this condition and easy concept to understand.

I liked the video because you were talking in a natural way and it's nice that someone else has similar thoughts to mine;)
loopka30 2 years ago
I personally didn't like how you did it Live like that. It felt too jumbled up and unorganized.
But your other videos were nice tho. They were good.
But one thing I always thought was ridiculous with turnarounds was what if someone does it wrong? For example...
I need to accept everyone. I don't need to accept everyone. I need to dislike certain people.
My example shows that someone could become very uncompassionate if they used the Byron Katie Turnaround System. What do you think, Em?
