@Honkofthewall I gotta disagree with you here. With songs like "Killer Wolf", "I'm the One", "Devil's Plaything", "777", "Blood and Tears" and "Girl", Lucifuge has a much heavier blues influence. It's my favorite because of that. The eponymous album was a lot more metal and hard rock sounding. Lucifuge slowed it down a lot and put some steamy vocals and hooks in. A lot dirtier, if you will.

By the way, my favorite song from the third album was "Heart of the Devil", followed by "Bodies".

It has my favorite track "Tired of Being Alive" which is fucking magnificent but, Danzig angers me when he sings high and lightly he should leave that to Orbison! but the album also contains a rip off of Zero the Hero for She Rides, which is actually a decent song, but still it just isn't original.

The Misfits is one of my all time favorite bands, but Samhain was very good too. You take the best of the Misfits, the best of early Danzig, and you get Samhain. I really wish Danzig had remained in the experimental phase he was in during the mid 80's. I think had Rick Rubin not gotten involved, we'd still be hearing more Samhain. Glenn eventually went back into experimenting mode in the mid 90's but it wasn't as good as his Samhain stuff.

i disagree completely! i agree with alk3tom, danzig's voice fits any genre! danzig CREATED the horror punk genre, so his voice is the prototype, and it was awesome that danzig was somebody who had an incredible voice because many punk bands had sub-par singers at the time! i think danzig's punk/horror punk and goth punk/death rock phases of the misfits and samhain were 1,000,000 times better than danzig the band! danzigs first few albums were good but they fell way off afta that!

No, the misfits had a logo made out of the letters of the "Famous Monsters of Filmland", Samhain & Danzig have the same typo, 'cause samhain actually "is" danzig, because they just changed the name when they signed by a recod label. (Some Danzig songs were released or recorded with samhain.)
