Amazing busses!!! I have had 4 now, with an Oettinger 6 powered one the latest.

Best four wheel drive ever, and it pisses on anything landrover on the road in terms of speed, handling and all round comfort. Pity they stopped building them!!

Of course Land Rovers are better off road - it's their entire purpose. However, a Syncro is still damn good off road with the bonus of being far better on the road, reliable, more comfortable and a generally better all rounder. Two vehicles in entirely different categories.

@KubikCv I wonder how that van coul reverse on such a steep incline without front wheels transfering power and having one back wheel in the air. That would effectively make it a FWD on a steep muddy hill with one driving wheel off the ground = impossible. Front wheels must have been working too otherwise he wouldn't be able to climb that hill in reverse with just rear wheels transfering power.
