@sillychicken599 Mac OS X and Ubuntu are similar and different at the same time. When it comes down to the gui of both os's, then they're different. But when it comes down to just using a terminal, well they to me are very similar...like the command lines are pretty much the same. If you want to run windows apps like games or whatnot you'll need to run wine or crossover or just use a virtual machine. I've been using Ubuntu for quite some time and I have both good and bad experiences with it

your setup might be corrupted , redownload it or buy the cds /barrow from someone else . it should work just fine. ubuntu does not need any drivers to be installed
you will need a program called cedega , it is a direct x simulator (you will have to find a illigal torrent or buy the program) with it you can play the following total wars atm ;"Medieval 2: Total War , Medieval: Total War , Rome Total war."
you can play a lot of game on linux some person gona say that ist not good for it beacause they dont know how to do it well a lot of comercial game now make game to fit on linux ..
@ananui If you don't download carelessly, you don't have to ever worry about viruses (Yes, even on a Windows). You don't even need Firewall to avoid viruses. That's call responisble file downloading.
@mrmiguu no, it's called being retarded. A firewall is essential, it stops outsiders from connecting to you, and viruses can infect you without you downloading anything, not having antivirus is retarded.

People are so used to the dictatorship of MS and uses Windows just because general society only knows windows. LACK OF INFORMATION.
Although he usually uses CamStudio, I think he's actually using the one that's built in on Ubuntu, that's why the video quality isn't as good as it usually is.

GNU/Linux > Windows > PC-BSD > Mac OS X
theif519 7 months ago
Windows > Linux > Mac
Why: Windows is highly compatible and is a great operating system all around.
Linux has some compatibly issues, that being said it is very fast which is very GOOD.
Macs are expensive and are just pc or linux with limited programs and a really weird ui.

The GUI is the Operating System.
Well designed GUI = Good Operating System
Bad designed GUI = Bad Opearting System
Your games dont work = Bad Operating System except its Mac OS X. The GUI worths that nothing works
