when you scoop, it's like at an angle diagonally forward but behind you. this will make it come forward but also spin the full way.

nice, but he catchs the last few with the back foot, i set my feet in the same spot but i pop down and flip the toe back instead of scooping, that way u get more hight nd extend the front foot so u catch the board out in front of u instead of to the side or behind. thats a common problem for most kids
