  • Since it is a manufacturers demo i have my doubts that the amp is stock (even with the celestion). Anyway great sound.

  • meh, bugera ftw

  • LOL can't even spell.

  • Compressor??

  • wow, he has 3 hands xD

  • Los limpios (clean) son increibles (amazing!).

El drive no me gusta tanto (I love not so much the drive chanel). No es una saturación muy british. (Not brit sound). Prefiero menos compresión en los saturados...

  • Would you buy this amp only for the cleans? (at home, not live)

  • The clean tones sound very nice.

  • Yup, sounds like a cheap little combo amp.

  • @giffy5775 reterd

  • Hey guys at VHT!You should make a REAL demo of Special 6 demonstrating all of the features and sounds! We are wating for it!!

  • ive got the stack its pretty damn loud.....possibly could even gig.

  • what du u guys out there think: is that thing definitely worth its money?? b/c im looking for a good little tube amp not so expensive and good sounding

  • When i hear the funk I can see Ellen Degenate ,NAY,Arsenio Hall funking it up like an animated monkey jackass on TV ...lol

  • I hate funk,HATE.

  • @spentonmediocrity Well then fuck you, kid.

  • @MarshallRoberts

Apparently I failed to mention,as well, that I hate shark fin guitars too.

Note:while posting this reply I had to hit the MUTE button because again ...I HATE funk.

  • @spentonmediocrity Well then. Fuck you. Kid.

  • Awzum :) does it work good with pedals?

  • a $200 tube amp, this amp is so worth it i love VHT

  • Wow! That sounds amazing! I must have one now!!

  • What song are you playing? Very nice!

  • AXLFAIL

  • Personally, I think it sounds nasty when pushed. And not good nasty, either. Scratching on chalkboard nasty. But for what it's worth, to my ears, very few of the little mass-market 5-watters that are out today sound great when pushed really hard.

The clean sounds are pretty nice, though.

But remember, everyone, no matter how good it does or doesn't sound, as Firebird3509576 says, all amps without effects loops are useless. Just don't tell the first 50 years of guitar effects users. :)

  • I think that a single ended 5 watter should be run through a 12". Hell, my dad had a SE 4 watt amp back in high-school that had a 15" jensen with a big square magnet and a 2" voice coil. 5 watts in single ended configuration is actually about the decibel equivalent to 12 watts in a push/pull cathode biased circuit. OK, now I am tech-talking, and I might say something wrong and be embarrassed, so I will just shut up and watch the video;-)

  • which 5 watt amps are louder? the ones with 6v6 or el84?

  • @MFJord1 5 watts is 5 watts regardless of the type of tube. Each tube has a different type of sound when saturated with power. Loudness or SPL's Has more to do with the size and sensitivity of the speaker in the amp. So two 5 watt amps are almost identically loud if they both have the same type of speaker cab. I dont know if that helps....

  • Oops. I must have missed the memo. All low powered amps w/o effects loops are useless? Silly me. Who knew?

There's a lot of great recordings I'll have to throw out now.

    Thanks for the heads up.

  • The Blackstar HT-5 has an effects loop.

  • I think the point is that if you are buying a 5 watt amp, you are looking to get power tube saturation at lower volumes. An effects loop will allow you to place your time-based effects after preamp distortion, but with only 5 watts of headroom, your power tubes will most likely slightly distort whatever you place in the effects loop anyways.

  • @codyt5 Never thought of that.

  • agreed. fx loops are a huge deciding factor in amps. other wise youre relying on buffers.

  • @Firebird3509576 don't need to have an fx loop to be usefull

  • @Firebird3509576 - Blackstar HT-5 has an effects loop.... pretty good sounding amp, too.

  • You can buy these amps at Andrew's Music in Porter, TX 281-354-0999

  • Truly an amazing little amp....Lot of bang for the buck !!!!

  • Please tell me, where can i buy this?

  • I think I need to get one of these for Xmas this year

  • Sounds nice and spanky! nice playing Doug :)

  • i dig the compression happening from the Camera too... amp sounds killer!
