This video reminds me so much of Brooklyn growing up. Damn, I seriously miss those times. Unlike now where can barely hang around outside without some type of violence about 2 erupt. I miss the old block parties where they closed down a whole block & there would B music, rides, ice cream, fireworks, open the fire hydrant 2 cool off, etc. These young kids will never know just how good we had it in those days. I almost wish I could jump through my screen, lose 30 years & never leave that place.
The kids would take the piss out of me when they caught me doing the moves to this and other oldies, so challenged them to do better.
The result is a change in their music tastes and now i'm challenged to dance with them to songs from my youth as they say that it's ' proper dance music ' I can't argue with them on that one, and beside, i'm learning new moves..lol

The song came out in 1969 when I was a freshman in HS in Newark. They're from Jersey.The lead singer in the video joined the group in the 80's but the band is older than that. They were definetly funky fresh.
