Can't say I've really experienced this before. I walk into a store and usually nothing happens. I had one incident in middle of red neck Missouri but that's about it. The woman didn't say anything to me she just huffed and puffed a lot...it was kinda funny actually lol. Now I think people profile types of dress more than race. At least that's what I've seen when I work at stores. However, race is an issue sometimes.

As an African-American woman, I'm treated as a thief if I walk into some stores...namely convenience stores run by immigrants. I'm followed if I go down an aisle and they play with a can. I was even treated this way at the DSW show store near Clark/Broadway here in Chicago...by another African-American woman!!! She literally followed me down each shoe aisle staring at me. This is not to everyone some of you have never had this happen to you before so you dont know what this feels like. To be humiliated in front of a lot of people and noone says a thing t help you.
I do not let my jeans sag. I wear them to my waist. I don't have the stereotypical dreads, I have a clean cut. I don't speak in a loud tone anywhere. I am very soft-spoken. Also, my accent is anything than that of the "hood". However, when I walked into a beauty-supply store to buy a brush, somehow I was suspicious enough for a Korean store owner to follow me unashamed around the store, only within the first 30 sec. of me walking in. Hmmm, I wonder which part of me set them on full alert?

A friend of mind, who is white, went into a very expensive jewelry store to get his wife a birthday present. he went inside with normal sneakers, ripped jeans and polo t-shirt. As soon as I walked into the store the clerk very quickly came from behind the counter and followed me down the aisle and proceeded to count every product that I touched. She had the poop face when I opened up my pocketbook and saw the wad of cash I had on me. If hadn't needed those strips so badly I would not have bought them.

Can't say I've really experienced this before. I walk into a store and usually nothing happens. I had one incident in middle of red neck Missouri but that's about it. The woman didn't say anything to me she just huffed and puffed a lot...it was kinda funny actually lol. Now I think people profile types of dress more than race. At least that's what I've seen when I work at stores. However, race is an issue sometimes.

Yes, blacks are part of the public as well. I never said that blacks who steal represent the whole group. I said that the suspicion was not based on an irrational association with the color of the skin. If blacks as a group represent a disproportionately large share of your losses, then you are going to pay more attention to black shoppers. It doesn't increase the likelihood that a given black is a thief, but it does increase the likelihood that the thief will be black.

@perikin2584 they should take a different approach to finding out the racism in anybody... this test is not help in the sense that many people despite the fact that they see something wrong going are not gonna do anything about it.. its just in human nature and society were everybody worries about one self.. this test is making the spectators look like they are racist for not stepping-in in the situation...

its called bystander effect. people are afraid to enter into conflict. its not racism (that guy who said 'black card' certainly was). but im white (whatever that means) and this made me cry, i dont think its fair for you to assume that everyone who looks a certain way feels a certain way. usually people dont see such blatant hatred and ignorance, im sure the majority of shoppers were horrified but felt too threatened to get involved

A friend of mind, who is white, went into a very expensive jewelry store to get his wife a birthday present. he went inside with normal sneakers, ripped jeans and polo t-shirt. One of the employee's said he had to leave, telling him, "you look like you wouldn't be able to afford anything in here sir, how about you try another store". Even though my friend walked in with 2 grand.

I'm not living in USA (I'm living near Russia) and I don't understand racial problems. What's the difference between skin colors? I rarely meet black people, but heck, they're friendly and interesting. You can always talk with them about something interesting, hang out together and they are completely like white people, no difference.
I also find asian and black girls pretty sexy :P
So what's the point who's skin is more white and who's skin is more black? Character matters, not skin color.

I am black and have a question for all the people who think this video proves that white people are anymore racist then black people. why is it racist to do nothing ? I did not see any racism here just some over reactions by the black commenters. It makes me ashamed to be black and what is with the picking on Glenn Beck I really like him and think that he loves this country the same way I do. Thats all folks.

Probably. I shouldn't have said 'in the world'. Also most of this isn't racism. Prejudism often gets confused with racism. Prejudism is human nature. We seek patterns as human, its how we learn.
However, I probably agree when you say socially published. The US media is basically a propoganda and fear-mongering tool designed to control the 'free' population.

Dang!!! I definitely know what it feels like to be followed around in a store. I am a black woman. I went to the CVS to buy some Biore strips and skin moisturizer. As soon as I walked into the store the clerk very quickly came from behind the counter and followed me down the aisle and proceeded to count every product that I touched. She had the poop face when I opened up my pocketbook and saw the wad of cash I had on me. If hadn't needed those strips so badly I would not have bought them.
