his wheels ain't worn out, you got 'em like that at the store in '93. Wheels like rubber bands, toothpick boards, super low trucks and supper baggy pants, pressure-late-casper-flipping, this was the golden era of skateboarding, to me anyway. Of course I'll say that 'cause I'm old, but there was something pure and fresh about that whole style that I'd be hard pressed to find now.

I think the frames were published in Big Brother issue 3 where Mullen seemed to be excusing beatings for those with the audacity to not skate "right". Of course his point was quality, not quantity, of tricks, and the world was thawing out of the slow-pressure-flip mutation days...

I think that would date this around 92; I remember those days as the moment in time where my childish innocence (that skate pros were all bros) was eroded...

This is exactly what I always said about things even if you have a gift and the gift is love for what you do you have to practice like crazy. Rodney had the love it took to practice like crazy very disciplined and never give up. The reason so many doesn't get there is that they give up. It's nice to see this video and a master at work and also see that he is a little human and need alot of practice. Thanks for upload, everything with Rodney is always welcome, my idol in skating since childhood.
