He did. Said it must have had a problem and whoever fixed it didn't do it right. Anyways got rid of this amp long ago. Hated it. Tone was thin. Tried to love it but couldn't. Now I run an Orange Rocker 30 and JVM 410. The Orange rocks!
Musta had a pretty fucked up Vintage Modern...my 2466 100 Watt is far from thin and I have mine set brighter too!. Sorry to hear you sold it...do yourself a favor and play another Vintage Modern, you'll find you probably just had a bum amp, certainly isn't the norm for VM's to be thin sounding especially a 2466. Check some of my videos out as well, they may have what you thought the VM was missing :)
to show the amp designer that, for my particular amp, the mid boost was screwed up. The button IN is supposed to be boosted. But on mine OUT is boosted.
