Also, In waves is a bit different, but it's a great album; though, it's only a stepping stone for them, I believe. Not as consistently likable as Shogun, but improvement was made. I fell in love with Inception of the End. XD

@843andrew There is nothing wrong with a ballad or slower song, but all in all Trivium's new album has let me down. Oh! but he screams more now! I love people think screaming makes music heavier or more aggressive... fucking idiots. Pick one song on any of their past records and it's guaranteed better than the In Waves album. We know what Trivium are capable of. It could've been Shogun 2 or even Shattering the skies above sounding but it's not.

@843andrew I half agree with you, the hits froms in waves (built to fall, black, watch the world burn etc.) sound alot like radio music, but when I listened to a skyline's severance, forsake not the dream and chaos reigns I felt that love for Trivium's anger and passion again, the album is pretty great I think, it just takes a few listens, like most Trivium songs

The pattern is F minor, which he then moves to F major.

His three string sweeping is good but the 5 string ones are pretty sloppy.

thats the result of playing 7-10 hours a day as a kid. Matt Heafy is far better than any of the biggest legends (Slash, Eddie Van Halen, Kirk Hammett, Paul Gilbert, Zakk Wylde ect.) No offence to any of them but Todays Metal bands are doing things that no others are doing- or can do.
