@WromthraxBlackwolf sorry, i'm 2months late. No, paladins are having hard time now. Most of them are holy. More like 75proc pallys that go pvp are prot. Retri has some hard time. You can hardly pull good dps in pvp without inquisition and wings, but those are easily dispellable.

Is it still worth playing a retribution paladin NOW? Is it still versatile in PVP and acceptable in PvE? I've heard a lot of people say it sucks, but i'm afraid that's just people crying over balacing the paladins. I havent had the chance to try it out yet on Cata. Please reply, anyone! I beg you, I've been playing paladin since 2004 and It's always been my most favorite class. And please no trolling, not because of how easy it was to play but for many other reasons.

i have downloaded the game, not upgraded to the full version. i have 2 chars, 1: lvl 20 Paladin Dreanai Ret, 2: lvl 20 Hunter Blood elf MM.

i want to upgrade to a full account and pay for the full game but i cant decide wich class i need to take i like being a paladin its more fun to hit in close battle then farcasting, now my qeustion to you is sud i contineu paladin or hunter or start another lvl 1 if so wich race-class? thanks for help and yes im a total noobie :)

change your video to one of the "widescreen" settings and you get the full spellbar. My main was a pally but I was doing more DPS at level 80 with crappier gear... I sort of lost interest in the pally - they made it more complicated on purpose... I will never understand why. Simple was actually fun.

I've stopped playing WoW for a while...with Cataclysm I heard that the game got ruined by the new expansion....every class has self heals and there's a lot of imbalance going on between classes....the PvP system is entirely different and also I've seen some pro players that have been playing since the game came out quit and try other games....is this true? did wow really get messed up...or is it still worth playing?

for paladins like me who has an 85 paladin as ret they do not do enough damage as hp u got now like average hp 85's have is 115k and the biggest crit a pally can get is 27k and that is nothing they have been under damaged sooo much its umbelievable

@liamamott i actually played my ret paladin yesterday and i was so disappointed....the class is too complex......you have to pay attention to your spells to see if they're ready for casting(free casting like Exorcism) and at the same time check your combo points to cast to know when to cast Templar's Verdict....it's so damn confusing in my opinion and it takes my attention of the current fight.....

Not exactly, being both a prot and a holy paladin I get to see both sides of the tanking-to-healing positions in a raid and I find the Prot Paladins/ a DK (a possibly good geared dk) to be the best tank due to the amount of CDs that Paladins bring to the table. If the pal tank uses his CDs wisely (1 10secs after the one before is done) they tend to take less damage and hold aggro very well. I saw especially on some of the fights in GB that DK and WarrTanks took too much damage

@AshThEpSYcHo Same with Ret Paladins/Fury Warriors, I've seen Prot Paladins (such like myself) who've held aggro and kept damage reduction at a higher aspect than a warrior/dk while seeing a ret paladin place first in a 10man raid on our dps chart, it's no longer on how"each class is better than the other" Blizzard is balancing them all to the point that it revolves on how well the player actually plays the class.

Sacred shield wasn't removed. It's actually even increased to 30 minutes from the old time, in order to maximize utility of the skill. :)

Does Intellect help? Since Exorsicm dosen't have a cool down, Concencration's huge amount of mana, and such. I know alot of the major stats should go for, from what I've seen and messed around with, is Hit, Expertise, Crit and Haste, and of course Strength.

ret pallys didn't get a nerf at all. they're just more focused around damage as intended. I just love how they buffed them so much it's crazy. running buff as they judge u so you can't escape.. consistent silence and hoj... ranged and melee dmg capability. and u can still bubble out n heal etc. i don't think they got nerfed at all.. wtb 6 sec cd silent shot pst...

@gxrolen829 The old Vengeance ret talent is removed, and not replaced with anything like it. You still get more powerful the longer you attack something, because of Seal of Truth, but it acts a lot different than the old Vengeance. That is not to be confused with the new prot Vengeance, which stacks attack power when you are hit.

@Made4Viol3nce holy paladins get a mastery, 10% of your heals shield the target, so you can reforge your item secondary stats for another, however, I believe its only 40% of the secondary stat that you can get another for, the crit that gives mana talent in holy has been taken out, making crit almost unesseccary so you can use some of that for haste, if the item hasnt already got it, or you can take some crit out for the holy master, increasing amount of the shield by 1% and i recommend it :)

@Seabersify yeah since 4.0.1 has been out i've been screwing around with my hpally. I worked out that the mastery was pretty much Sacred shield. Thanks for the comment/ reply. I feel as tho its not long enough tho :( It only lasts 5 seconds but of course makes a new one every time i heal who ever. I like the change tbh. This helps make hpallys more entertaining. So many more skills to play with.
