Thankfully I really did go to New Orleans before Katrina. How is it now?

KPD did stop me. They checked out what I was doing and saw I was filming for the weather channel and said "Good Luck, and your own your own if ANYTHING happened to you" But yes, KPD was stopping everyone they saw out on the road.

the kpd was probably making sure he's ok, he must have permission, otherwise he wouldn't be out there

chances are he was an official who was authorized to be in the area as the hurricane blew in. thus why he recieved no issues from the police

I live about 2 miles from there. Interesting to see the area. Did the Kenner Police give you any problems? I see they had their spot lights on you. A friend of mine is in the KPD. Said it was very eerie.
