L, Mello, Matt, and Near are just detectives wokring undercover all their lives, grown up into a world where solving puzzles and crimes was all they were taught to do. They were born for their jobs. And It was Light Yagami who was merely born school-smart. He wasn't anything special, until the book came down, and he happen to pick it up. He became greatness on his own. He didn't need to follow anyone's footsteps but his own; he made his own path... in other words... he should have won.

I disagree. L, Mello, Matt and Near all had as much right to win! And they disserved it more than Light because like you said he was nothing special until that notebook came his way. And all of them weren't taught to be smart their genius developed as they grew older. Duh! I hate Light for killing L, Mello and Matt! Light was just an evil killer!

No. They were raised to be geniuses. If you surround a kid with only detective work and certain skills you believe the child needs to develope, that is what he will grow up learning and furthering his knowledge of it. He will grow to want to achieve justice for the greater good, simply because it was how he was brought up. I'm only talking based on what I gather from the anime-- if the magna proves differently, then I wouldn't know.

How do you know that was how they were raised? They might have been kind hearted kids from the start. Besides the ones who didn't suceed L grew up and became great people. Not criminals. I'm just saying that they could have seen a bit of L in each of the kids and knew they'd become geniuses.

You cant just say 'duh' like you have the answer to everything. You try and insult my own opinion? More people adore Light for what he has done, than some young detectives raised on the purpose of law and justification.

Light was not an evil killer. Kira means killer, yes, but he was the killer of evil. He was a God putting justice on all he deemed fit, and, like God, killed even the good so that his Plan could be fulfilled.

Look I don't mean to insult or disrespect your opinion, but even if Light was killing criminals because he believed they were evil, that doesn't change anything. How do you know that some of them were really bad people? My Uncle Jon was put in jail, but he's a terrific guy. And how do you know none of the criminals were framed? Or that they were going to change their ways and become good guys? I'm not making excuses for them, but it's wrong to kill other humans.

After L died, I was happy Matt came alongg. But then he died T^T. Then I was happy Mello was still in it. Then he died. Then I had to stick with...Matsuda. xD Im not a big Near fan though, I mean hes awesome, but I dont find him thhhhatt attractive, like I found Matt and L and Mello, (I guess xP) But yeahh...too many of the loveable people died. HEY EVERYONE! Don't be too sad! A lot of people die in this show! Misa, Mello, Light, OUR BELOVED L, Watari, etc. Now they can live together in the after life talking about how stupid they were when they were living! ^___^ I think it's nice that L is not the only one who dies. But Misa didn't have to commit suicied =\ OH WELL! AT LEAST THEY CAN ALL BE DEAD TOGETHA! =P I don't blame Light for anything. I say the Death Note simply made him insane.
