This is an American song written by an American Tom Kimmel. Kimmel's original version is so much better; raw, rough,unpolished...like a Springsteen or Seger song. Its a patriotic song about the heartland of America, something only an American can feel. You can't make it better by a big production.

Hell there is one out there showing US Soldiers with the song "The band Played Waltzing Matilda" (last I checked there weren't any in Gallipoli in 1915). Kimmel has even done Paul Kelly covers as well and Kelly is an Aussie. So shut up and appreciate the song.

Yeah iv'e got this dvd also it's one of my favourites from john, the chain reaction concert in perth was for three nights back in 1991 i went to all three LOL. Im in the fan club and i think thats it for john no more concerts or albums, he actually was going to do two or three(albums anyway) and maybe concerts but his manager glen who got into trouble as you would know kinda put him off doing anything else, well thats what i think anyway...
