As already said english is a language many people are used to speak,so everyone can understand the lyrics.Rotting Christ often has greek songs and I'm unable to understand,just for giving you an example.

Every country has something own special I think.

Norway is known for it's Black Metal,Sweden for MeloDeath,Finland,just like the other scandinavian countries for traditional metal.

Germany has some nice Power Metal.

And so USA makes modern metal.

Of course there are exceptions.

And I don't say that because I'm from there.Actually i'm german.

I think greek metal has its own style,by example there is more emphasize on the bass and a deep athmospheric tune.

Doesnt fit to every band,but in general it's like this.
