@mvalinsky Paul has said previously that Brian Wilson's current touring band are the best in business.....and they probably are......but it doesn't say much when Sir Paul is envious of other people's musicians.
He could save that for The End. Yet for Drive My Car, Can't Buy Me Love, the solo is correct. Damnit; I mean he had a choice of four different solos for this song as there were four recorded versions of it.
It's called "artistry" - it's not real artistic for a musician to learn something and then play it over and over the same way. You could get a computer to do that.
@jwalsman I agree to a certain extent but I have also been at concerts incl. Meat Loaf and Chuck Berry where the arrangement has been altered to drastically that I would sooner just listen to the CD than the thing being performed on stage. They may have their reasons (CB must be sick of Johnny B Goode after 50 years) but you can't take too many liberties.
Amen....Nobody does it better....Everyone else are copy cats.....they will all soon be forgotten, but not the beatles...long may they live (musically)
I am so lucky. Just know the concert one day before in the subway. And thank the buddy from South Corolina to sell me a ticket.
Finally, I found a reason why I travelled a long way to New York City from far away China. To witness the beatles should be a perfect reason to stay in NYC.
I assume this is the only chance for me to hear Paul.
great show friday night, going again tonight, there were rumors that ringo and Billy Joel were there but only Billy joel cam out. fantastic show long live Paul and the Beatles. Paul Mccartney, Paul
He played a long time...and didn't even take a break that I can remember aside from ducking off stage for about 10 seconds before coming back out and playing like 4 or 5 encores. I couldn't believe the energy he had...and then he's going to do it all again tonight! The ONLY negative about the whole show was the $7.50 beer!
Haha I know, i handed the guy a $10 for a beer, expecting back like 4 or 5 bucks. I just shook my head when he handed me 2. Best concert Ive ever been to though.
Thanks for the great video. If only they hadn't autotuned the CD and DVD releases.

I like watching Paul perform his hits, but his backing musicians are a tad cheesy, no?

Why must Rusty come up with a new solo every time they do the song?

it's called improvisation. its part of being a guitarist with your own personal style even if you are covering a classic.

Thank you for posting these videos! Your seats were amazing. I went to last night's show and it was AMAZING. I am at a loss for words.
There is no other like Sir Paul McCartney :-)

It took me 45 years to see him and he was worth the wait. Almost 2 1/2 hours of solid music by the best we will ever see.
Paul was so good that I was happy when the concert was over.
