  • anyone have any idea where to obtain this movie? thanks

  • @yanivkoren79

On the Internet there are ways to download movies, but first you could contact who posted here that bit of film "Paris, always Paris" which is *paccaggicco* and can send a message here.

  • eternelle etoile

  • That's funny. The last time I was visiting the art gallery of the father of a friend in Paris, and I saw a picture of Montand, in the middle of the room. It was the house of Yves Montand, with the pull-up bar of him, that he was using until the end of his days.

  • OMG. The only thing I want is his microphone.

  • He looks quite adorable, but he sings it entirely without emotion. Try Piaf--even in English it's spine-tingling.

  • @princeandrey he sings it perfectly. Is he supposed to twitch and jerk uncontrollably and jump up and down to satisfy you?

  • @llabful Don't be so vociferous. It's merely an opinion about a delightful pop star of yore who I think is not as good as Piaf. De gustibus and all that...Happy New Year!

  • @princeandrey Ives Montand is considered a giant on the same level as Piaff where I come from. Remember, Piaff was lucky to get good songs from some genius composers, otherwise nobody would have heard of her. The same goes for most of the famous other performers.

  • The girl looks like taylor swift.. O.o

  • C L A S S I C

  • Yves est trés gentile, eh? He's really handsome and he's talented. That makes him so precious I could kill for a live performance. He made me yearn for a sort of time machine.

  • SO GOOD

  • he is the orginal creater of this song right?

  • @lolaxian

Of course not, the lyrics are from Jacques Prévert ;)

  • @lolaxian it was written by some guy named Kusma or something I remember

  • @llabful No no, Kusma sells radiators and computers. Joseph Cosma is a composer... :)

  • @paradigmatican1981 I've remembered this name since my childhood, must have heard it on a radio back in my old country

  • Swoon.

  • Deo.

  • dieu.

  • Those were the days my friend.

    Leonidas

  • It's kind of ripped of or veeeeery inspired from a part in tchaikovskys Hamlet Overture

    . Quite facinating actually

  • Maravilhoso!

  • this vid make me wanna learn french asap .

  • beautiful music and romantic! *****

  • a voice and beauty that transcends time...

  • I meant this was recorded 1951 and now it is 2011, which is 60 years!

So this recording is 60 years old and still strong.

    Ok?

  • 60 years old and still strong!

  • @ellefoto He died 1991.

  • 2 minutes de pure plaisire

  • he's my favorite!

  • This song is gorgeous. He's gorgeous.

  • @paccaggicco can u upload the movie???cuz i really want to watch this movie for some reason...if u cant its fine but if u can....THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

  • The "autumn leaves"-in the original French version Enjoy.

  • @paulostroff99 Cora Vaucaire who just died last September 17, aged 93, recorded it first in 1948. However it seems that Yves Montand already performed it on stage in 1946; He recorded it in 1949. Edith Piaf seems the first artist to perform it in English live in NYC in 1950 with lyrics by Johnny Mercer.

  • yummy!!

  • what a hell...the dude looks lime a singing cadaver but great voice.

  • @GinoongJojo He's singing about a love that no longer exists. It's a nostalgic song. So, sad face...

  • he as an awesome voice! i love him very much

  • dont understand a word, but i love it

  • L'esprit pur d'un chanteur italien....

  • Vous avez un regard singulier et charmant ;

    Au coin de vos doux yeux roule languissamment ;

    Ils semblent avoir pris ses feux au diamant ;

  • Magnifique !

  • pour Bianka....

  • Grande Ivo!!!

  • La chanson de Prevert ♬

  • I'm about to melt looking/listening to this man. Had no idea he was the original artist for this hit.

  • Il chante bien serieu!!

  • what a pity it ends so abruptly, this is the best version I've heard, much better than the big production numbers at Olympia etc. Has something in common with Sinatra but Yves can sing (and is so sexy with it)!

  • Sublime!

  • Ugh, such a hunk. ♥

  • One my favorites of all time!!!

  • my mum used to sing this when i was a kid.

  • This song is awesome! Yves Montand has a nice style too.

  • Lovely singing by one of France's best. TY.

  • tres beau. j'adore!

  • tres bien!!!!!

    c'est tout!!!

  • Yves canta splendidamente foglie morte!

    Tils Van Beveren

  • @HxhXnin9e

    Ce quatrain m'a beaucoup amusé.

    Bravo !

    Bien amicalement.

    Thierry

  • meraviglia!

  • I don't think I've ever seen that movie.

Now, I have to. I Love Yves Montand's voice.

j'aime quand il me la chantonne.

    A toi olivier.

  • Great song! Beautiful man!

  • Les paaaas des amants désuniiiiis

  • hmmmm actors to play Yves Montand in a movie

    Hugh Jackman.......done

  • Piękne,niezapomniane....

  • You can say the most disgusting shit in French, but it will always sound like poetry. :)

  • Yves from Italy was a icon to France, like French Carlos Gardel was to Argentina, and Portuguese Carmen Miranda was to Brasil. The Planet Music is the complete simbol for Fraternity. Montand represents the synthese of modern arts. Great clip.

    xF - Brazil

  • @XicoFlavio Yves Montand was only born in Italy, his parents moved to France when Yves was 1-2y.o...not much of an italian...C. Miranda was only a few months old when she left for brazil....so originally nationality and " fraternity " hasnt much to do with the subject, no offence

  • @kunghassan

    Lovely friend,

It was only a joke, 'cause Brazilian people loves all the peoples.

Thanks for your comment. We both belive in FRATERNITY.

    Best wishes

  • @kunghassan he was born in Monsummano Terme (province of Pistoia, Tuscany) but his family had to escape in France because they're communists and the fascists gave fire at their besom factory. Yves hated forever Italy, he refused the honourary citizenship of Monsummano (municipality ruled by Italian Communist Party!) and never came back to Tuscany, except for few day in Florence to make a film

  • @kunghassan ppl are trying to claim and re-claim what wasn't "theirs" to begin with.None of Montand's descendants have an italian name and at this point I am not even sure whether his son Lulu is aware of the very old italian roots.

  • What movie is this? Tnks.

  • plus belle!!! Magnifique!!

  • His heart is made of Korean!

  • Yes, but Ives Montand it's italian, not french! His truly name is Ivo Livi, only after the advent of the fascist regime he and his family emigrates in France.

  • oh wow

    I never had any idea.

    What a heartbreaker he was.....

Kinda like the (real) young Sinatra.

And those eyes could melt a glacier.

  • he was Marylin Lovers too , for a moment.

A french star... we miss him.

  • @kenrfc they were both of Italian decent.

  • @kenrfc This guy is ugly

  • Most charming man in the Cine...

  • oh, my,

he is so young here (laugh)

  • Salut Cannoir!

Rah-la-haade !!!! 01:16

  • Montand the best

  • Yves Montand - Une Autre Voix Connue.

    Il Etait Vraiment Beau.

  • YES! Everything's better in French. My French boyfriend could speak great English, but I always insisted he speak French to me because he was sexier, more intelligent, more GORGEOUS in French! I saw Yves Montand live in San Francisco at his one-man show... He was fabulous.

  • @RoseyinWonderland

    English was designed to sound imperial / authoritative;

  • iggy pop stole it

  • PERFECT!!! LOVE IT!!!

  • Unique! Je l'adore!

  • The player of players... My hero!

  • EXCELLENT ARTISTE ,si joli TU RESTES ENTRE NOUS POUR TOUJOURS..............

  • Feuilles mortes son hojas muertas, efectivamente. Y même quiere decir igual

    :)

¿hojas o flores muertas?.

    ¿Y qué es meme?

  • @EscarneoExquisito "Les feuilles mortes" quiere decir "Las ojas muertas". "feuilles"="hojas".

  • @EscarneoExquisito "Les feuilles mortes" quiere decir "Las ojas muertas". "feuilles"="hojas".
