All Yamaha Blasters regardless of year are 6 speed your shift pattern is as follows 1n23456 anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron. If you only can access 5 gears then there is something wrong with the transmission causing you to not have 6th. Word of advice if you don't know wtf your talking about in the first place save yourself the embarresment and don't comment because your not the only blaster owner and obviously your not he smartest if you think its a 5 speed.
