  • Looks like your actually in the tardis

  • @Purpledragon1766 it's not like he could have stopped it...

  • I love the most serious videos from you guys, even though your comedic ones are funny as hell, the more serious U are like in this one, then the better the acting cause there is only 1 thing bad about the funny ones and it sound like a nitpick but its not, tom is all ways about to laugh but then makes his face straight again here nothing like that happens and its just comes to great fan videos the acting from you both is perfection here.

    TimeVesselTardis

  • the beginning looks pretty greenscreened, but its not like you had the inside of a tardis. Besides that, which was amazing anyway, this was fantastic.

  • woah! that was incredible man! I can't believe I hadn't seen this before, nice one tom!

  • Is that The Master or another Doctor?

  • Very emotional at the end but not emotional enough, their should have been more tears running down your cheeks but still very good.

  • This was really good. Acting and effects were spot-on. There was just one part that was off to me. When the other Doctor is dying and you, the Doctor, lean over him, it would've helped if there had been a bit more...holding him? As usually happens when someone dies? I'm sure it would've been uncomfortable to film, but there was an emotional disconnect between that and then having a few actual tears before going back in the Tardis. Otherwise, very good.

  • What effects program do you use?

  • FANTASTIC episode!!!!!!!

  • at 8:14 you really really look like David tennant when he is scanning something

  • Dude, You've got to show this vid to BBC. You could Be the Next Doctor!! Lol

  • 0:28 you look like a younger version of matt Smith. Am i Right?

  • The effects in this were amazing!! Love the 3D TARDIS effect! Can't wait for the next ep!!

  • What's that last song called?

  • sand & ash, hell do trees count!

  • I would love more of these serious ones from you guys!

  • (Description)

  • That was amazing, in regards to story and effects!

The part when the Parallel!Doctor sacrificed himself was very clever. I really liked your Doctors.

  • absoloutely brilliant this is one of my top favs great episode.

  • Where you based?

  • "Desolate for thousands of years" Moving cars in the background*

  • @Purpledragon1766 Maybe Humanity managed to rebuild cars after thousands of years. lol or not. but, At least the video rocks!

    2年位前に友達とこんなことしたいねって話してましたーww

    なにこれいいな(//∀//)

  • Honestly, i think this is sooo much better than the actual TV series.

  • WOW. This is your First Doctor Who Vid i've seen that wasn't a Spoof or a Piss Take and i have to admit, it was pretty Damn Amazing Tom, Brilliant Job, hope to see more from you in the Future :)

  • This Is Awesome Cant Wait For The Next One

  • omg that as so good :D

  • Where did you get that sonic??!!?!!?! It's amazing, t looks like the real one.

  • @Gallifreyan1 you can buy them in the UK or order them from the BBC shop website, it's pretty awesome mine came in a few weeks ago :D

  • @conversebstrd What is the website called and what do you search?

  • I dont usually like this type of thing but you really do a great job keep up the good work.

  • wow.... you`re effects getting better and better.. brilliant

  • Very nice job, lots of substance and an all round good film.

My only 2 complaints would be sound and also maybe using some special fx to hide the moving cars in the background of parallel earth.

  • i think this is very well edited nice work!

  • That was too too good! I came here expecting to see on of your comedies but was just blown away! I already knew you all did fantastic D9-11 impersonations, but is this your own Doctor here? Some of the best green screen work I have seen. BRAVO!

  • This is one of the best fan made Doctor Who episodes that I have ever seen!!!!!! You are awesome!!!!!

  • Brilliant! I loved it (: Can you be the 12th doctor?

  • Bloody excellent two-hander Tom and Jon. Bravo!

  • Great effects!

  • Nice green screen and effect work! Although there why these rings around the actor so it didn't look as good.

  • just fantastic! loved every second of it :] just wondering ,what is the ending music before the credits called? i could use that in my series

  • The TARDIS would be heading for earth wouldn't it

  • this was a very moving idea. this could be a proper docwho episode. there'd be more exploration of how altdoc lost his doctoryness of course. but then that "one last chance to be the doctor" with a rousing score by murray gold and dual acting by smith. oh i'd cry. maybe you could expand on the script and send it in to bbc?

  • Wow this was REALLY good... I know you guys are english.. I was wondering where in England you came from

  • can i put this on my site in my doctor who spoof section

  • Also, where did you get the production music?

  • Great post production editing. Good script. Camera movement and lighting needs some work. :))

  • @themastercrevasse amazing quality and visual effects. can i ask what programs do you use to edit your videos?

  • you now the ginger doctor was he his own time lord or was he a future regeneration

  • Comment removed

  • well well well he was finally ginger,

    nice tom!

  • That Time Vortex effect is better than any one they've had on the actual revived series imo - definitely better than that stupid cumulonimbus they've got going on with Series 5.

I agree with Tony Coburn though - you're so Tennant here! D:

  • Comment removed

  • Finally Ginger. xD

  • bloody hell nice effect on the tardis! way better than your old green screen effects.

    Nice work

  • When the other Doctor explodes into the TARDIS, where are the windows?

  • @98Clank98 Toms TARDIS prop dosnt have any side windows :P

  • Ahahaha. I had a similar idea too. 'Cept it was a regeneration story.

  • actually felt like a proper who ep.

  • Extremely very well done!

  • ohmyGOD! this is soooo good! the quality is great! the acting is BRILLIANT! and i LOVE LOVE LOVE it! ♥

  • Desolate for thousands of years...'cept for the traffic on the road behind him in the next scene...hahaha

  • good job :) it wz brilliant

  • hey love u guys! Hope to come to england and meet you all one day, i love you stuff, i love watching it better than matt smith, which i think he is a tosser. But you should audition for dr who, cos u are funny, and good and entertaining. Especially you take of the dr. Anyway think you guys are awesome and hope to meet u. Olly

  • Oh, great story. Loved it.

  • it also said the doctor shall return in humacide at the end if the doctors demise

  • hmm. story wasn't as good as your others, yet still very entertaining and exciting and great visual effects!

  • Ah, and I forgot: What camera do you use?

  • First things first: Amazing effects. This must be said. They are just stunning. Secondly: Yours and Jon's acting is great. I really enjoyed watching this episode and can't wait for the next one. <3 :-*

  • great stuff but you need some Capt. Jack and ot Torchwood.

  • awesome, what's that music at 8:15?

  • @Bigistan1 i tihnk its the one they used for the star trek trailer

  • @TheTimeLordAnthony nope its not

  • Tom, your best yet! Jon's incredible effects, and more importantly... your writing, your acting, your directing... all fantastic! I loved it. It's pushed the boundaries of non-budget fan filmmaking! x

  • This is truly the best special effects I've seen in one of your episodes. You're doing a fantastic job. I can't wait to see the next one.

  • Wow i must say the green screen work was indiscribable excelent job!

  • Awesome! Great performance! I would give it five stars if I could only figure out this new Youtube doohicky layout.

  • ace work

  • I like how u used freedom fighters from star trek

  • this was awesome but I sometimes can't hear you over the music and it's really annoying

  • THAT WAS AMAZING!

    well done! Absolutely brilliant!

    x

  • wow this is so great. The work that you have put into this really shows!

  • @penguinboy935 One last chance !!! IMAGINE TONY JON AND TOMS DOCTOR AND SEBS COMBINE INTO A BATTLE AGAINTS TIME

  • OMG Uterrly Brilliant amazing !!!! ! Jon had a sad scene !!! Tom is also awesome green screen guys!!!!

  • It's really far better than Victory of the Daleks. I can' wait for next episode<3 And Tom and Jon, you were great.

  • fantastic work on visuals, and that darn quarry haha! but myself, your 100% tennant in this :( what happened to YOUR doctor? but seriously stunning work! x

  • @timelordfromhell its like for a moment i forgot how he went, think i went a bit ott lol

  • 04:13 = Desolate for thousands of years

04:17 = Cars go past on the street

I'm just messin'. It was really good :D great use of effects :)

  • @jrdennis95 lol yeah but they probably did'nt notice them or either that they were hurryying up on filming but still

  • That's probably one of my favourite shorts you guys have done yet. Really well done!

  • that's not the tardis now

  • @CardClashersHub well done, but maybe we dont have to use the new one? hmm? just like the sonic may I point out?

  • You are the doctor!

  • Oh wow. This is ace. Brill. Just. It's reduced me to fragment sentences. The special effects are jaw-droppingly beautiful. The plot is short but ever-so-sweet and right up there on the list of interesting Alternate possibilities. The scene with the jacket was just gorgeous. It was amazing. My ONLY problem was that some of the audio was a bit hard to make out over the music. But that's alright. Gave me an excuse to re-watch bits! :D

  • Wow Tom. at 8:14 I actually saw the Doctor, like you have suddenly become the Doctor for me! It was amazing! Beautiful episode! Beautiful effects! Can't wait for the next one!

  • My God your good I actually thought you were gonna regenerate or something but it was amazing simply amazing!

  • Excellent work Tom! Really proud of it! Have you changed the coat now? :P

  • OMG this was so sad and brilliant! i cryed at this and dont usually cry! Keep up the fantastic work tom!

  • Well i thought it was well written, and it did make cry at the end.

    Sir william

  • A wonderful story, wonderfully performed and just.....wonderful! A true credit to both you guys!

  • AHH! When you were stood in the TARDIS doorway crying, which was upsetting but didnt make me cry as this ep is brill, you were VERY Tennant-ish!

  • FANTASTIC! I was gripped from the start! Hehe I love you Tom, your brilliant! You and Tony! Bought Legend of Chrinicos, In the Pipeline and The Gamblers risk on DVD today after meeting Tony. As Trinity Rule!

  • 4:46, cars..... yeah... there is no life round there. But great effects and stuffs?

  • @updatedawsomeness a bit of of dis-believing and turning a blind eye go along way sometimes xD

  • @Anermay I did try and ignore it, but after I saw that, I was like Baww the ilussions dead D: It was still pretty epic tbf xD

  • Well done! That was great! Best episode of yours!

  • I wish there were more fan-films like this. You guys are absolutely spectacular! I LOVED this episode; the effects, the acting, the drama, it was all bloody brilliant I can't even stand it! The green screen was astonishing, truly astonishing, it really looks like you're interacting with the TARDIS. My only complaint is that it was too short. You could've gone on for another 14:45 and it would've been even better. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  • love the imagery with the rocks, and the extreme... quiet of it all. shows how brilliant you guys are when you can build a whole story with just the two of you on the building site.

the stuff about being ginger, and the companion... inspired.

explodey jon and the crying... wow.

  • that was brilliant and i cried as well

  • That was amazing! So sad too. Great job! :]

  • omg i love it and i did cry like i said im so totally going to cry when i see this! cant wait till the next one>

  • Brilliant! I think I like your intro better than the real one (the new one, anyway).

  • Hiya, amazing stuff! You edited this episode on Sony Vegas, right? Well, did you use the trial version or did you buy it?

  • this is bloody genius! :D i love it! Absolutely brilliant, i love the story! :D xxx

  • I liked this episode a lot Tom, it was brill!

  • leave him alone...i love it ! good work tom tom

  • Constructive Criticism:

You should turn down the exposure. Things are far too white and they are bleeding into each other. This would also help your keying for when you do green screening. I'm not sure what program your using for keying, but both FCP and Premiere Pro do a poor job. After Effects has a good plug-in that comes with it called key light.

  • @HiccupFilms

Also, as the doctor talks about nothing being around but ash and sand you see cars moving in the back ground. This could be fixed by masking out the background or framing it different. Hope this helps.

  • @HiccupFilms Thanks for the criticism, I did all the effects in this apart from the sonic flares, In most of the shots I did try and use the exposure to fix the bleaching but this is only on the shots that needed effects as the hole video was about 7GB.

I used Keylight and as you can tell it works swimmingly,

  • @HiccupFilms and the Cars? well we thought maybe people would sit back and think "its a fan film, nothing is gonna be 100% spot on, Ill let this slid" :S

any way if I had a month and all the footage maybe I would of masked it, but over all, it dosn't really matter or effect the story, thanks again though :)

  • Excellent work.
