I think when your learning licks you should treat them like a chef that learns different techniques get the concept and add some of your on flavor to it!!
I haven't used mine in awhile. It's in the case in dire need of some work. I found a good guitar tech here in SoCal, so I should have it back in playing condition in the next couple weeks. I traded a scuba tank for it back in 1988.
The only problem I have with this lesson is I feel you should have turned off all the extraneous effects (reverb, etc...). It would be easier to decipher played cleanly.

This is a great lick...very Eric Johnson-ish. I'm not sure if people posting can read or not, but the description in "About this Video" is accurate to me. Good work here.
