Im sorry to correct u sir but a rolex GMT has since made it to the Moon - the speedmaster was First , correct, but not the only watch ever to be used on walks on the Moon
@wendel88 I think you will find that no one has been to the moon since the Apollo 17 crew in 1972 and as the only watch NASA approved for space flight was the Omega, I highly doubt a Rolex has ever been used on the moon.
@wendel88 I know who Ed Mitchell is I had the pleasure of sharing dinner with him at Kennedy Space Centre recently, I did not know he wore a Rolex on the moon though, suprising as the Omega was the only watch certified for space flight by NASA.
@wendel88 There seems to be some question as to whether Ed Mitchell did or did not wear his Rolex on the moon, if I knew about this at the time I was talking to him, I would have asked him! Very interesting though..
@wendel88 It seems that Dave Scott wore a Waltham chronograph watch that he took with him on his third EVA of the Apollo 15 mission after his Omega broke during his second EVA, NASA witheld this information for years after the mission due to the marketing implications for Omega..
Why did they choose the Professional rather than the Broad arrow I wonder it the Broad arrow would be more structurally suitable as the tachymetre is integrated into the bezel meaning that it would be less likely to loose the insert because there would be no insert to lose
hey great video thanks for uploading, I was just wondering what the numbers around the bezel mean. I have a watch similar to that and was curious what the numbers meant any help would be great, thanks.
Congrats!

@schumifan78 Dr. Edgar Mitchell wore the Rolex pepsi GMT on apollo 14 landing on the moon in 1971. He was the 6th person to walk on the Moon
