Why is Paramount considered the oldest running movie studio if it was founded May 8th 1912 when Universal was founded April 30th 1912?

There is some dispute as to when both studios were actually founded. While Universal was incorporated on April 30th, the company didn't even appoint any executives until July of that year. They also didn't begin production on films until sometime later. Also, I don't think anyone knows the actual date Paramount was founded as a quick google search revealed at least four different dates for me, some as early as March. Paramount did begin releasing actual films before Universal though.

this is sort of a remake of the 1987 logo but in a new style yet i do miss that old version the one that had the 75th Anniversary on it. So Paramount, Happy Anniversary and Keep on make more awesome movies! Hopefully, we will see this next year without the 100 years logo it does bring me back memories of the 1987 version. =)

Check out @Flashmaster659....he filmed the logo first in bootleg quality as well as the end credit logo. Kudos to @Paramount for uploading a true HD version of the logo, in awesome 1080p and stereo!!! Can't wait to see it in IMAX and 5.1 sound with MI:4 and in 3D with titanic 3d!!!

I LOVE the new fanfare. Very epic and I'm glad that Paramount is using fanfare again. The themes of Fox, Warner and Disney are so well known that you know the studio and logo by the music. This is great.
