Thank you for this! I'm very excited to see this go away; yes, I know it was an icon of Seattle but I'm optimistic we will replace the viaduct with something better.
Question though (not sure if wsdot reads youtube comments) but will the simulation showing the step by step process of replacing the south end of the viaduct be updated to show where the tunnel and eventual SR99 alignment will be? Much like the new Mercer street simulation does.

This is COOL! Makes me think of 2 things:
(1) the people who designed these machines had obviously seen all the Godzilla movies;

@raganti1 - we sure do, search for SR 99 Bored Tunnel Video in YouTube search and you will see several showing the location of the tunnel.
