I listen to and love people like Jimmy Cobb, Elvin Jones, and Max Roach so I hate it when I see people like Cobus out shining Andy, but the truth is, Cobus' style caters to the bullcrap music he plays on, they want people like him. Would you really want to hear Andy playing on BS like Crank Dat Soulja Boy at a live performance? NOT AT ALL! It's a waste of time, so let the baby have his bottle. Yo I looked up this Cobus kat y'all keep baggin on, and yea, he ain't much special but don't just straight compare him to an entirely different approach to drumming. I agree Andy is better, but that is opinion (close to fact but still opinion). Cobus is doing what he needs to do to get the type of gigs he wants, and to appeal to the crowd he aims to please obviously. You never know what he might have up his sleeve if he took a different perspective.

@Shahede7 Cobus is just a normal drummer...ansy is a pro, he can play anystyle, from rock to jazz to fusion with no problem. Cobus plays on easy songs, we cannot compare to andy, come on!

aha. showmanship. he gets into it when he plays. eg: stick spins facial expressions. smiles and such. also he gets technical if you watch. cuz if you watch his videos. then go listen to the real songs. he throws some of his own fills in there with different time sigs of the part.

@killingmanbearpig See the difference between this guy and Cobus is that Andy is purely showing off his multi-groove and solo skills to a repetitive loop.... where as Cobus is playing his jazzed up version of a beat, to within the confines of the recorded song.... Both are very talented but it's like saying "Who is better Bonham or Buddy Rich?" Is Rich better just b/c of technical skill or Bonham b/c of his ROCKING CHOPS.... Both are great, so why hate on either one?

@killingmanbearpig .... i just looked up Cobus on here ... why would you even bring him up ... Andy Fisenden is a world class drummer , Cobus is a a pretty good rock drummer who might get lucky and find a good band .... the difference between Andy and Cobus is laughable .
