Yes. Pillows are pretty ok to use for dampening the bassdrum, but this one is kind of big :p

Nope, it's made out of some type of wood, mahogany I think. Plus, It's not my set, it's my dad's :P he doesn't even use it. I've been thinking about taking lesson's from one of my friends, but my dad thinks we'll wreak his set, therfore, we're not allowed to touch it. And my friend doesn't actually own a set either, he rents one from our school (which has to stay at our school) :P Haha, I also can't picture myself as a metal drummer. But it would be awesome :)

haha my cymbals really suck. the sound is OK, but nothing good at all! they didn't cost much.. I use Zildjian ZTB crash and hihat, one Meinl Headliner 14"crash, Zildjian ZXT 8"flash splash, and an old Sabian ride.

thanks for the comment, I'm sure youre much better now;) When playing double bass, its important tp olay relaxed! use minimal energy on every count. Start at slow tempos, snd go faster and faster when you feel you have more control. Just keep practising!

Thats pretty good. You have a good sense of rhythm. Can't hear the bass at all though. Tune the drum lower and take out one of those pillows. That'll give you a bigger sound.

Pretty cool! I think if you wanted that particular beat to be a solo though, you should have addded a bit more toms and stuff. It sounded more like a beasty metal beat than it did a solo.
