what is the point of putting a pigs foot in the desert, when your looking for a spider!? the narrator dude has said lots of times that "they hunt by vibrations" so leaving a pigs foot lying in the desert will surely attrach one! cause they have AMAZING eye sight- oh wait, they don't :P

Sometimes I wonder about how tribal people, so far from civilization, seem to show a great knowledge about extinct animals ( giant spiders did already existed!) and I think that the most reasonable explanation is that our very ancient ancestors did told stories to their children about the animals that coexisted with them in the jungle and even several years after that animal extinction, those stories are still alive, being passed generation to generation.. A bit like Megalania case in Australia.

I know that tribal people have made reports of similar sized animals, but...

That´s a bit odd to exclude reporting places, unless there weren´t enough money to travel to Africa as well...

I personally believe that many animals are waiting to be discovered, a but a 5 foot giant spider goes a bit out of my belief realm...
