*UPDATE* I installed Ubuntu 8.10 today and everything worked fine also with this camera. I made the mistake of going right to the Skype web site and downloaded the deb file and installed that. This did not work so I had to uninstall Skype. And then install the version that came with 8.10.
Thank you so much!!! I have a Dell Studio 1537 with an integrated Web cam and Mic, and with my Ubuntu 8.10, neither of them work! Now I know what to get.
my question is,what messengers does the web cam work with on ubuntu?
