  • AWESOME!!! I have been a chic fan since they first came out... i am that old... and this is an amazing rendition!

  • COMO QUISIERA VIVIR DE NUEVO ESA EPOCA DE NUEVO ...... AHORA SOLO SE OYE EN MARACAIBO-VZLA LOS MALDITOS VALLENATOS Y EL REEGETON...LA NEGRA ESA ME PARTE COMO BAILA...VERGACION.. SI HAY OTRO VIDEO DE ESTA PRESENTACION MEJOR QUE ESTE

  • This is the ultimate version of this track.Live versions are not often really good but this.... is awesome "I want Your Love" gotta have searchin whata ride with my girl in the late eve... dtowntexasstyle!

  • I do miss the orginal members and it's hard to compare to the original.. that said. I really like the emotion Sylver puts into the singing and I also like the horns. the original had strings which was awesome but the horns give a little bit of funk to it. probably better for a live performance.

  • Bernard and Tony are not on bass and drums....enough said!

  • 3:58 WHO IS THIS DUDE? i saw him on a deadato video. this dude got groove lol

  • i like the original better but this is nice

  • Sylver Logan and Jessica Wagner...!!!...The Best

  • Sylver Logan Sharpe is the best singer ever employed by the Chic Org. She's the closest they ever had to an equal.

  • In fact, both versions are different but both of them excellent !!!

  • absolutely much better than the original!!

  • This girl can sang!!!!!!! im sorry but she sounds better than Luci and Alfa, Sylver puts more feeling into the song than the original 2 girls

  • Magnificent. In my opinion this is the greatest song ever recorded - it's the human condition in a song. It's uplifting but also full of longing, it has a wonderful groove, and that horns riff is superb. i was at a festival last week and a dj dropped it - it was instant bliss.

  • 3:10 the drummers face to that bassline, awesome

  • No way she sells this tune much better than the original

  • This incarnation of Chic just doesn't do it for me. To her credit, Sylver Logan Sharp tries, and ironically, she's been a member of Chic for 18 years - way longer than the female vocalists Alfa Anderson and Luci Martin, who originally made this song the classic it is today. But nothing compares to the lush, tight production of the original. Missing are the Chic strings, and the superb bass play of Bernard Edwards...not to mention the understated tight drumming of Tony Thompson.

  • @Chicfan1 What ya got is what ya got...

  • Marvellous! I like very much these women!

  • Nile Rodgers is the one, a man with the groove inside, the new singer has a pretty cool voice and this is an amazing tune especially if played live

  • You know, I've never seen Niles play another guitar. He always uses that same old, white beat up strat. The hit maker, he calls it.

  • God bless Nile and Edwards. Such a ravishing tune!

  • Nile Rodgers is a Legend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The tambourine/bongo player is a trip

  • @floydturbo2, LOL at 3:43 the tambourine flies out of his hand, and then the tech guy has to come rescue the bongo setup as it starts getting away from him. I love working live performances...

  • I love u jessica wagner.

  • Nile Roders is the master mind...he produced and wrote most of Madonna best stuff......

  • Wheres the bassline on this track?

  • You can't hear it?

  • I can hear it. I guess you it can be only so loud so it will not drown out everybody else.

  • Yeah I can hear it clear as day, AtomAntTC couldn't hear it I guess

  • Tony Died? when?

  • RIP Tony and Bernard.

  • Sylver Logan ROCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey loose! Check out Ingcognito for a real treat! Classic soul meets acid jazz w/meaningful lyrics. KILLER!

And don't forget Alphonse Mouzon & Johnny Guitar Watson for all time classics!

  • Throw...down. They pulled my favorite Chic song off live. Love it.

  • Can anybody name a Black band that came out in the last 10 years

    Like the Ohio Players.Kool &the Gang,Slave, BT Express,Midnight Star,Earth, Wind & Fire,Gap Band,Lakeside,Isley Brothers,Brother Johnson,Chic,Change,New Birth ,L.T.D.,Commodores,Brainstorm, Ready for the World,Mandrill

it's going to be real hard

Not singing groups BANDs that sing

Don't hurt yourself thinking about it

  • Hopefully this music will make a comeback. There is an obvious market for it and a ready audience.

  • Better be happy with Black President

its Never coming back like that 70s-80s Music never ever again

    God bless You tube

  • You forgot Mint Condition. Probably a little older than 10 years, but they're worth the price of admission.

  • Aurra

  • yeah they were some members of the Band

    "Slave"

  • Ah, the last ten years, eh? That would be difficult.

Anyway, you forgot the Reddings ;-)

  • The Reddings was a funk, soul and disco band founded by Otis Redding's sons Dexter (bass and vocals) and Otis Redding III (guitar) together with cousin Mark Lockett (drums, keys, and lead vocal).

Their most well-known songs include "Remote Control" (1980) / "Doin' it" / "Funkin On The One" / "Class (Is what you got)" (1981) / "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" (1982) / "Hand Dance" (1983) and "The Awakening" (1980

THEY were 1980-88 Name a Black band that CAMEout in the last 10 years

  • Living Colour.

  • both are great, i never found a copy of the Redings album "The awakening"

And Living colour, yeah it was loke wat!! when i first heard the album. Peace

  • For the Sister Sledge project, Edwards and Rogers wrote and produced "He's the Greatest Dancer" (originally intended to be a Chic song) in exchange for "I Want Your Love" (originally intended to be performed by Sister Sledge).

  • and they both turned out nice for both camps.

  • 1977, Needing a singer to become a full band, they engaged Norma Jean Wright under an agreement that she wanted to have a dual career between the band and her solo career. they needed to add another female singer to front the band. Wright suggested her friend Luci Martin, who became a member in learly spring of 1978 Unfortunately the legalities of this contract eventually forced Wright to leave the band in1978, but not before she took part in the sessions for Sister Sledge album We Are Family

  • love itttttttttttt

  • Not the same without Benard!!! But the show must go on!! R.I.P. Benard!!

  • ultraGREAT!!!! thank you!!!

  • thank you everybody 4 making this vid popular

  • This song is best appreciated live. They performed this song on the Tom Joyner morning show back in the late 90's and it literally blew me out of my shoes.

  • This sounds better than the original! This is real music, talent and soul! Sorry but today's artists (or lack thereof) don't come close!

  • Better then the original, you must be joking

  • I disagree! The original is way better.

  • awesome...awesome

  • God, this is great. Thank you for posting!

  • GIRL IN DRESS DANCING IS SO EXOTIC.

  • Hell Yeah!!!

  • oh my god oh my god my soul has been awakened with a real band. modern artists need to take a long hard look at themselves before they call themselves artists. not just drug users.shiiiiiiittt.

  • A lot of jive grandstanding going on here. As much as I love Omar, it's like he and the bass player are competing to get the most notes in.

  • lol, but the sharp hi-hat are most cool. I can hear you :-)

AMEN - feekin jives, as you stated.

This is MUSIC, peace from Germany.
