I think it's a little stupid that I have to do endless Extra Ops just to get the right equipment for the Main Ops battles. I mean, the Extra Ops are fun and all, but at this point of the game I am so into the story that I simply don't want to do the Extra Ops. But hey, I don't have the best equipment to defeat Peace Walker! Uh oh, I have to do A LOT of Extra Ops missions now to get engineers, breaking completely the pace of the story...

@amsaa91 funny, in my opinion it's the worst. GOD I hate that battle! Why is his life bar so HUGE? I mean, for 10 minutes I kept fighting, didn't miss, he didn't touched me. Then, I received two attacks in a row. Just two. After 10 minutes. And then I was dead. Had to do it all over again. And I did NOTHING WRONG in the rest of the fight.

@RaciouS91 heres a ip, dont use guns, wear battle dress and equip yourself of the 3 rockets available RPG,FIM,Carl Gustav(LAW if Unavailable, bring rations and curry, bring supply and strike markers, and bring a camera with you, i want to haer an inprovement.

Well i think it was only unmanned because of the role it had.. Rex and Ray were probably better because it was in fact manned but Peace Walker was unmanned because it had to effectively strike back.. Something ppl would probably hesitate at. Also now that i think about it.. Altho Peace Walker seems more advanced than Rex by gameplay we also have to remember that while Peace Walker can be destroyed by firing missles at it. Rex armor was so strong missiles does nothing, effectively makin it better

The LAW, huh? I don't get why everyone uses it. The Carl Gustav is much easier to aim with, and plenty strong to boot. It's not often you have time to string together several shots in a row, anyhow, so the LAW's reload time isn't that much better.

Also, why the FIM? It's pretty weak attack power-wise, although it's invaluable for helicopter/Chrysalis battles.

this is way easy... just equip health items with 2 rocket launchers and machine gun.

I had a assault rifle instead, the AK-47 w/ grenade launcher and had RPG2 and RPG7. Though the Battle Suit is highly recommended for this mission

That's because Rex was designed by Granin and sent to Huey Emerich in America. I'm assuming that Peace Walker was an expansion on that design. During the course of the Peace Walker mission Huey vowes to never work on Metal Gear projects ever again. Presumably, Huey destroys the Peace Walker plans yet the Rex plans are still floating around in Washington.

Yea i know.. They didnt actually think to use the Metal Gear blueprints until Snake destroyed Metal Gear TX-55. The U.S had Granins blueprints ever since Ocelot recovered them (altho Granin design was a lil different than what Rex officially turned out to be) I was just noting how it was werid gameplay wise for PW to be more flexible and agile than the later more advanced Rex.

Hmmmm huh? based off of Ray? But Ray was the "last" walking Metal Gear to be made in the series.. If anything Ray was based off of others things since it was last.. But Ray actually is a pretty different Metal Gear in its own right. The first Metal Gear to swim, "jump", and its role was different from any other it doesnt even sport a Neclear warhead..

Absolutely one of the best boss battles ever. Such a pure amalgamation of art, music and gameplay. It took me 3 attempts to beat it at 45 minutes each, but it was fun enough to keep going.

I hope to [insert deity here] that they make a "subsistence" style sequel for this on the PSP2 or PS3.
