If the Dodge was lifted like the Ford with the same kind of tires it would have done even better. Simple fact is Dodge makes tougher, more durable, well built, and more bad ass trucks. Fords... well they're just Fords, and while this one did the job, it also had a shitload of more money dumped into it.

A few differences to note between the Dodge and the Ford. The dodge didn't have mud terrain tires, he was backed closer to the truck onto that wet sand, and he didn't leave nearly as much slack as the Ford did to yank with. If all things were equal that dodge would have pulled the Chevy out. If the Chevy driver was smart, he wouldn't have tried to back down into that in the first place.

Power matters to a point, diffs and tire size matter more, anyone who got where that Chevy did and stopped was look'in to get stuck, he had too heavy a vehicle and to small a tires to do what he tried to do, being a chevy and a duramax had nothing to do with it. Driver error can be a big issue too. Nice set up by the way, should be tons of fun.

Power matters to a point, diffs and tire size matter more, anyone who got where that Chevy did and stopped was look'in to get stuck, he had too heavy a vehicle and to small a tires to do what he tried to do, being a chevy and a duramax had nothing to do with it. Driver error can be a big issue too. Nice set up by the way, should be tons of fun.

@GlamisMorgan53 Actually it's the same rope on both. The guy in the Ford has better tires, and knows how to drive better. Also, it's a tow strap, not a chain. It's going to have a lot of stretch and slack so the extra rope wouldn't help all that much. So I bet you couldn't have pulled him out on the first try with the Dodge.
