I just got mine last week and the day after I had tons of problems. There was a storm and my phone is fucked up. It messed up again on Tuesday cause it rained and it just sucks nothing works. So I'm returning it.

This phone sucks, this phone only freezes up. I have had this phone replaced and fixed but the phone still won't work. The sprint tech guy said the sanyo zio has been brought in by lots of people having problems. I'm thinking about leaving sprint and going to Verizon if they send me another shitty zio.........

I'm actually renewing my sub in April to Sprint and have been looking for a decent touch-screen phone in the 37211 area code. The Zio is actually free with another contract. Is there another phone that you might recommend over it?

hmmm... not too excited as I was because of the problem with the touch screen issues! looks great, has all the expected items, but if the UI is bad, it could be scary. However, you didn't say avoid, so I'll try it out. Thanks for an in-depth review and spinning the phone around to see it, and maybe do a little bit more movement with a 10 sec video and send it to see how long it takes to send it. Slower than the Transform's 800mhz, I think the 600 might be a bit slow, but we'll see!

This isn't being marketed as a contender to the iPhone. It's a low-mid smartphone. If you're looking for an iPhone rival look to the Epic or the Evo. Secondly Cricket has always been a budget carrier, thus the budget android phone. You can blast it all you want and yes there are better phones out there. But the bottom line is this, people use cricket, not for their steller coverage of super fast speed but for their price. Grow up and stop lambasting a phone because its not a "high-end" device.

It will be interesting to see if Sanyo will provide an update through Sprint that will address some of the usability problems shown here. Although the processor is only 600MHz, it's not bad. And it may result in more conservative battery consumption, which is desirable for people often on the go.
