  • I really think this is a good project. All nice Volvo's deserve American V8's.

  • What exhaust? Custom? Sounds great!

  • A car with such great lines really does deserve some muscle.

  • the way volvo should have done it

  • epic car man!

  • Awesome Idea Mate! Fucking love that Volvo of Yours! proper european classic fastback with american heart with racing pedigree! Love that Idea! This is one of my most favourite car videos on youtube. And what a sound!

  • I've wanted to do this very conversion for awhile now (but with a T5). Can you tell me what shop did the work for you, or what modifications you did yourself to get it done. Did you swap out the rear end as well? What did you do to the suspension ?

    Thanks alot!

  • Holy crap!!!

  • Cool and unique car....only ever seen 1 in real life :)

  • nice one mate !

    Cheers !

  • Hey whats wrong with an B18 dubble SU

  • The butchers are the hill billys that fucked off such a beautiful car.....gay

  • ładnie brzmi ta maszynka ;)

  • Awesome!

I just bought an Amazone Combi.

It's got the origional B18A engine

Bought it planning to fit a SBC 350 with a TH350 or a 700R4 depending on what I do for a rear end. What rear axle did you use?

Do you have any tips or specifics things to look out for when using the stock front suspension which I assume you did?

What mufflers you running? Sounds like either a set ofThrush dual chamber or a Flowmaster 40 series?

    Either way nice work!

  • Prob one of the more insane build p1800 ive have seen bro. But honest it not just youve american who build crazy things.

  • Sweet! I love my 240s, and my 1800ES, loved the Starion, but sometimes, if it ain't an '8', it ain't shit. Plenty of power to make plenty of smoke, I suspect you get to highway speeds pretty fast, too. Nice car. Good combination.

  • Nice, you don't get to see these good fuel economy conversions often. Most people only care about getting highest power and put in the 4 cylinder turbo engines.

  • @MrTaurushill i've noticed this. in many cases, the right v8 swap actually weighs less than the comparable turbo + intake + exhaust parts.

  • Cool car! I love V8 in Volvos!

  • we polite americans always say - when you do not have something nice to say, its better not to say it.

  • I´m sorry, i´ll consider it next time

  • true swedish power, tho the engine is american xD

  • @Oronuts

I'm a Brittish/American who lives in the Netherlands. And all of these cultures are polite in their own way.

Whatever you are Oronuts it far exceeds stupid. Stupid is to call a nation of 320 million people or more all stupid.

That kind of one-sided thinking is in line with history's favorite fascists.

    You sir are an idiot.

    Stupid idiots.

  • I LOVE THOSE CARS! ;D

  • love the way you've kept the body pretty original

  • that ROCKS iron fist in silk glove. o-oh tablets wearing off

  • A bit stronger than the B18 i think.

  • very cool. I always loved that body style, and now it has some guts to go with it's good looks.

  • Very Smick Man. No more 0 to 60 in 14.5 seconds eh?

  • You need to put some Bias Belted tires on the back for a REAL smoke show!

  • the chrome :(

  • What engine is in there? How hard was it to get it all to fit?

  • its a ford 302 cubic inch v8 with a c4 auto trans. not an easy conversion but it actually fits well. custom firewall and transmission tunnel.

  • @juribe3 You disgraced Volvo by putting your domestic shit in there..

  • @madjimms : Your opinion is indefensible.

Ford owned Volvo for years, and has been building world class automobiles for more than a century. Ford is not just a domestic company. You'd be hard-pressed to find a Volvo (or any other European vehicle) amongst a fleet of police units or first responders in America. These people know which automakers make the most durable cars. This P1800 is a truly beautiful car in every way, including the engine choice.

  • @rickylbradford Volvo was bought by ford in 1999..... Before that it made all of its own stuff. Most companies don't use certain brands because they have been TESTED to be more durable, they use specific brands that they deem patriotic, THEN of those they pick "their" most reliable .

  • Yup, the stock engine sure won't do that !!!

  • Skii !!

  • poor car!

  • NICE RIDE

  • Need to see under the hood.

  • i posted a quick video tonight of the v8

  • Thanks. Hey, isn't that spelled "Yeah Boiiiiii!" ;-)
