My point is - doing throws using the Gi's like he's doing in this video is Useless in MMA - because they don't wear one. The whole reason they eliminated it from MMA is because of it's using for easier chokes and breaking fingers/joints etc.

As for Lyoto & Nogueira - so what? There are far more MMA fighters that train Gi'less than with. 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu for example..(Eddie Bravo) many MMA fighters utilize that system because it's more applicable to their craft.

If you want to be great at no-gi... simple answer is train no-gi, if you want to have a great gi game, train with a gi. The concepts are vastly different between the two, something most people don`t understand. They share similar techniques, but getting to them are different.
