holycrap! I was thinking the same thing you just said!! holy... ITS SOUNDED ALOT LIKE KNIGHTS OF CYDONIA by Muse hahaha! Both are great songs however!
OOOOOOOkaaaaaay.... Who ever finds this anything but fucking hilariously stupid needs to be shot by a 50 cal turret from the feet up up until their dead. :[)
I know that? what makes you think i dont? im just saying, how in fucks name can you like this shit and how can you not find this video hilariious? Sad thing is that he was probably trying to be serious too lol
wow what a weird and creepy video.now i'm not saying that its stupid,i'm just saying that its kinda weird and a little creepy thats all.let me just say it one of the most interesting video i have ever seen.
Doesn't Ronnie look like Elvis when the glittering fairy first wakes him up? Oh, but I love this video, still his best, that best captures the playful essence of his music. The gummi watermelon garden cracks me up every time.
gods... that brings back memories... heh, most of them bad, but this song was one of the good things from that era. I'd never seen the vid' before. Thanks for posting it
Man i love this song! This video used to creep me out back in junior high, and then i saw the monosynth vid! lol but they are an awesome band/duo. All love for the Joy!
Most deffinatly a true artist. Joy Electric has grown so much since their first album and every time it just gets better and better. Ronnie Martin is truely a genious, he's taken some pretty big risks to get where he is today, but its been amazing!
Hmmmmmmmmm coooooooooooooooooooooooolllllooolllllll well best music pretty much... you mean UBER gay and fucking stupid and make no fucking sense all the time and awesome beat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!1 Coooooollll sound effects!!!!!!!! all around best graphics.... well if anyone even like this a tiny tiny bit.. kill yourself right now... just do it... cause your just one less really stupid person we need in this world. thank you.. you som om bis :[]>
ahhh, the early 90's. A time where secular music had nothing compared to this. incredible, I will always remember wearing out the cassette tape of this album and having to buy a new one.
I agree with smurfblood. I think that's a pretty good reason why he's such an outcast. Plus, he takes a lot of risks musically and visually. And when I've seen him live, he does seem a bit strange, but he's a genious. I appreciate his music and his music videos. They're so interesting to watch!
I remember seeing this video 10 years ago on ZTV, and thinking that this was more Erasureish than Erasure. I've been a fan of JE ever since. I think Ronnie's a bit of an outcast in the Christian music scene, maybe because he often comes across as very gay.
I don't think its because he comes across as "gay", smurfblood. I think it is more due to the reason is because electronic music is still considered as an "underground" genre in general.
i love this vid. i have the old T&N tape, but glad to see it on here...and actually getting good comments...people tend to hate it. i love it. it's wonderful. and the vid that makes me feel i MUST buy a moog prodigy.
this video/song makes me happy :)

now u say so.. yeah ^^
christalrock 3 years ago
knights of cydonia by muse? because... both muse and JE use electricity to power their instruments? or because their videos both feature live actors?
incidentally, this song reminds me of ronnie's extreme narcicism, and my own inability to spell narcicism.
probably my favourite song of all time. burgundy years, that is.

I want to say '96, but I'm not sure if that's correct. That number just seemed to pop into my head when this video came on. :D

This does seem more 'Erasureish' than Erasure to me too. But I'm a bit lost on the lyrics.. as far as the meaning of them..
