  • This is what it looks like when you trip acid

  • i love this song!

  • I love the song <3

  • now u say so.. yeah ^^

  • knights of cydonia by muse? because... both muse and JE use electricity to power their instruments? or because their videos both feature live actors?

incidentally, this song reminds me of ronnie's extreme narcicism, and my own inability to spell narcicism.

probably my favourite song of all time. burgundy years, that is.

  • holycrap! I was thinking the same thing you just said!! holy... ITS SOUNDED ALOT LIKE KNIGHTS OF CYDONIA by Muse hahaha! Both are great songs however!

  • Lovely.

  • what year is this vid?

  • I want to say '96, but I'm not sure if that's correct. That number just seemed to pop into my head when this video came on. :D

  • Well then....Why do you keep watching it???

  • shoot me

  • If you don't like it, no one's forcing you to watch it.

  • this totally represents the landscape of his early concepts-it sweet!

  • wow what a weird and creepy video.now i'm not saying that its stupid,i'm just saying that its kinda weird and a little creepy thats all.let me just say it one of the most interesting video i have ever seen.

joy electric is pretty cool thou

  • I LOVE the slightly creepy aspect of Joy Electric videos

  • Doesn't Ronnie look like Elvis when the glittering fairy first wakes him up? Oh, but I love this video, still his best, that best captures the playful essence of his music. The gummi watermelon garden cracks me up every time.

  • i love this with all of my heart

  • gods... that brings back memories... heh, most of them bad, but this song was one of the good things from that era. I'd never seen the vid' before. Thanks for posting it

  • totally awesome video, great band and song.

  • This does seem more 'Erasureish' than Erasure to me too. But I'm a bit lost on the lyrics.. as far as the meaning of them..

  • it's only a model

    ;) thanks, xoxos

  • this song sounds so much like his "rainbow rider" disk, when it was "dance house children. that was his best cd ever.

  • Man i love this song! This video used to creep me out back in junior high, and then i saw the monosynth vid! lol but they are an awesome band/duo. All love for the Joy!

  • dude, i can't blame you

  • cool XDDD

  • ah.. the lollipop trees and peppermint flowers from "the cobbler"... i see.

  • Most deffinatly a true artist. Joy Electric has grown so much since their first album and every time it just gets better and better. Ronnie Martin is truely a genious, he's taken some pretty big risks to get where he is today, but its been amazing!

  • his looks changed quite a bit over the years.

  • ahhh, the early 90's. A time where secular music had nothing compared to this. incredible, I will always remember wearing out the cassette tape of this album and having to buy a new one.

  • Augh I can't stop listening to this song it's so addicting ;w;

  • hes music is so relexing weired n kool x

  • as much as i love his music its super creepy to watch him sing.

  • At the risk of sounding creepy, anyone who has seen his wife would realize how not gay he is

  • He's got a wife? Really? I woulda thought he was celibate. o.o

  • Beautiful. He is a genius. I could watch him all day.

  • I agree with smurfblood. I think that's a pretty good reason why he's such an outcast. Plus, he takes a lot of risks musically and visually. And when I've seen him live, he does seem a bit strange, but he's a genious. I appreciate his music and his music videos. They're so interesting to watch!

  • I wish I had a cute castle and a yard full of candy and that awesome sweater he's wearing. *sigh*

  • XD LOL

  • THIS IS SOOO AMAMZINGGGGG!

  • I remember seeing this video 10 years ago on ZTV, and thinking that this was more Erasureish than Erasure. I've been a fan of JE ever since. I think Ronnie's a bit of an outcast in the Christian music scene, maybe because he often comes across as very gay.

  • I don't think its because he comes across as "gay", smurfblood. I think it is more due to the reason is because electronic music is still considered as an "underground" genre in general.

  • Ronnie looks like the Berries and Cream guy!

  • Where can I get some socks like that ?

  • Socker store. o.o/

  • uhh...soccer

  • what is it with ronnie and those knee high socks?

  • How have I not known about this?! It's amazing! I love it!

  • i love this vid. i have the old T&N tape, but glad to see it on here...and actually getting good comments...people tend to hate it. i love it. it's wonderful. and the vid that makes me feel i MUST buy a moog prodigy.

  • Count Ronald Martin ftw.

  • I like the remix of this song better, the one of Old Wives Tales, but this video is absolutely priceless, thanks for the upload.

  • Weird as usual. :P

  • This is by far Ronnie's best video. He's brilliant.

  • buh gone dee ears, I LOVE this video, so great...it's been like ten years since i've seen it...much too long, thanks for adding it!

  • i've been wanting this on youtube for so long! haha, i love it

  • A lot of work gone into the vid. Well done!
