I wonder how many other little black kids down in the ghetto without a chance in life could be another Jimi if they just had a tiny chance. Just think what our world would be without Jimi and what it could be if all the little black kids full of promise had a chance. Please do what you can in your world to make that possible. Blacks in the USA are still heavily discriminated against and have few options. The unemployment rate among black males is obscene - often higher than 25%.
@farseas Many are discriminated against & many races were slaves & many still are...The Native Americans for one, are mistreated & ignored more than most minority groups currently are. I'm optimistic that TRUE talent WILL be recognized & allowed to flourish given the opportunity.--People also HAVE to have passion, pride & integrity to be "self-empowered" enough to rise above ANY circumstances regardless of their environments. White, Black, Hispanic & Asian are still living in poverty in the U.S.
This angle is pretty sick! But sadly, it's not synched greatly and both the video and audio are ran faster than the original, increasing the tempo and pitch, Hence Hendrix having a rather high singing voice.
I agree. I would actually rather watch an average quality 8mm of Jimi's hands, than watch the high quality footage with the stoned cameramen zooming in on his pants and what not.
@riktok ...I was lucky, I was there at the great East Afton festival. Luckily I stayed awake to see Jimi. He played at about 2am or 3am on the Sunday night.
Never forgot the experience....I now live a few minutes from the site and often walk across the field where he played.
antique, antique !
