i think it was more of the environment, there is NO audience whatsoever. its so awkward to try to "rockout" and perform at your best when noone is there. they did there best with was there.

nervousness could have been a reason as well but i love it anyways :P

new band, room for improvement, they sure did!

Yeah, plus the crowd at Much Music is always lame. Seriously, in a video of another band at Much Music, some of the people in the audience looked seriously asleep, and it was a loud rock song. o_O I love it too, and I agree, they sure did improve anyway!

I actually like this version ther best. Its before tasted any success in the US, and also importantly, they seem really young and eager. Its the quirks in any kind of music that I like the best. Mishaps make songs human.

Being a musician, I can't even BEGIN to comprehend how being "live" is an excuse to sound bad. I, for one, am not saying that they simply "don't sound as good as the recording"...I'm saying it sounds B-A-D. A live performance doesn't have to sound perfect, but it should at least sound GOOD *especially from a band in the big time*. Flowers sounds like he's singing a karaoke tune he just learned.

Also...speaking words in a phrase instead of singing them is a crutch for being uncertain about pitches. I'm sorry, but in EVERY video I've seen of this band LIVE, Brandon sounds like a karaoke singer who has his own band. The band simply has really good producers.

Great song great band AMAZING DRUMMER!!! But this preformance sucked. (Sorry Killers and fans I'm a HUGE fan 2!) I hate to critizise but Brandon looked very nervous there was no 'hoo Hoo hoo's from Dave and Mark and BRANDON DIDN'T DANCE! Thats 1 MAJOR thing I ♥ about their live preformances Brandon's incredibly creative dancing. He just folded his arms close to his body sang and walked around! I'm gonna just forget this live preformance ever happened and pretend this is all a bad dream

Each live video I see of The Killers, and Brandon Flowers especially, is worse. He sounds AWEFUL here. Strained, missing pitches, cracking notes, poor intonation, and just not in "the pocket". As much as I like Hot Fuss, he'd be kicked off American Idol after two weeks. SERIOUSLY.
