  • nice drumming man...!!! You should do a solo video :D

  • Must have that snare

  • Oh dude your cymbals are sexy, but stop breathing in the damn camera mic.

  • Man You Suck At Solos

  • A.rudiments

    B. metronome

  • it sounds like you're having a hard time breathing

  • what are you doing?

  • very interesting style!

    I like It!

    and great drum sounds!

  • what kind of drumming style is this???....learn your rudiments well kid before you learn too much chops..

  • I don't think its tuned too high, its just not tuned very well. It has a really weird ring to it. Basically his overtones aren't controlled very well (seeing the lack of mufflers on the head, which aren't really necessary if you know how to tune, but he obviously needs it) , or his resonant head isn't tuned well at all, or both.

  • the snare blows eveything else away, i love it.

  • i like my pork pie better. nice kit and cyms

  • Comment removed

  • how is he a wanna be travis barker

  • how did you tune your snare ??

I mean is it too tight or something please explaine

  • awesome improv vid dude. i have my snare tuned like that right now. 20ply also. love it.

  • sloppy

  • lol

you spin the cymbal around at 0:19 so we can see its a zildjian

    lol

    what

    a

    poser

  • seriously,

    who gives a fuck?

if he wants to show us his cymbals then let him?

    that's not being a poser,

he was just showing us his kit.

  • i love my 13" ocdp

  • holy cow.

  • your snare sounds killer.

  • Lucky you have an OCDP snare!

  • OCD with your cymbals? lol

  • honestly:

way too tight snare.. not hard to make a shit sound like that.

id really like to hear it with a "normal" tunning

the drumming wasnt very good either..

good overall sound of the kit

    nice cymbals

the hihat is killer.. gotta get myself some Ks

  • I agree, any snare would sound like that so tight, I'd also like to hear it's real sound. I think however this guy has chops, but his playing just isn't very tight right now. I love my K's, I got an 18" Dark Thin Crash and a 20" K Ride, I'm really looking into getting the K Hats, but they're so expensive.

  • yeah.. i agree with you.. dont know if the guy has chops.. he doesnt show them on this video tho

yeah.. k hats are really expensive.. gotta do the sacrifice for that amazing sound! eheh

  • ya but his hi hats r a k custom top and a z custom bottom it says in his profile

  • oh.. i listened to them on zildjians website and didnt like em much.. but they sound allright here.. ill go with regular Ks tho

  • hey men i need to know,... how many plys your snare has, dimesio ,.. please,... mm how much?

  • its a 20 ply

  • what snare head is that?

  • Remo (coated) Controlled Sound

  • how many plys?,.. keller?

  • everyone loves the snare sound , but it sounds sick casue its so tight , get a decent pearl snare and tune it really tight and you get a similar sound

  • Yeah, but when you get that sound with a pearl drum I find that's it's really good for metal because it has a clear and aggressive attack. When you get a snare from OCDP and tune it high you get a snare that's good for alternative or funk, you know?

  • You breath like a pervert.

  • nice drumming mate, what a talent

  • love the snare what is it?

  • that's an emperor X. Very recommendable head (depending on which snare drum are you using). I'm currently using that on my snare drum and it works great, best head I've used so far, and it lasts an eternity

  • that's what i use those I find are the best for snares. so good.

  • I envy your kit you bastard! haha =D

  • i like the snare and good job

  • snice kit . snare sucks to be honest mate you've bought a nice snare but fuck do you know how to tune it. check out tmd customs for some a cheaper option of orange county but with all the wuality if not more as it is only one guy.

  • what did you do to this kit- put a hole in it or what?

  • hahahaha your arm gets all stupid when you play your tom yes i know flat feels good i prefer playin my toms flat too, but lift your seat to where your snare is at your waist that helps me and tune down the snare you can hurt peoples' ears and your own
  • try tuning down a bit and getting some fattness out of that snare. it sounds like popcorn popping. unless your in a marching band no reason to crack people's heads open

  • I digg that snare sound. I can't stand that bland dull loose head sound that SO MANY drummers use. it just gets old.

  • well he should loosen it a little bit cause its really annoying that tight. it sounds like he wants it to be a piccalo

  • Wow, you really suck ay playing

  • such expensive drums and cymbals but no mics..

  • Is that an OCDP Set too?

  • the snare sounds horrible

  • well not to mention this kid sucks

  • uh my favorite part is the whistling in the beginning haaha

  • i feel bad for the ocdp snare drum

  • dude my set kicks your sets ass.

  • wot kit u got?

  • an oc flat black set with a red stripe down each drum.

  • what is your snare dude??

  • the title of the video is ocdp snare lol

  • I hate it when people show off their drum set and they suck. Just cause you have a nice set, doesn't make you good at drums. Your alright, but the improv solo wasn't very good. It just didn't really flow well, like random beats over and over. Sorry. I feel like an ass.

BTW, your snare is pretty sick, not gonna lie.

  • Nice :)

i think i need to my tune mine higher again, its lost that ping

    awesome video :)

    cool grooves and stuff also!

  • How many plies is that snare and what are the dimensions?

  • dude, i have a buddy that has a chad sexton signature snare. sounds SEXY!

  • at 1:45 are you playing The Diary of Jane - Breaking Benjamin?

  • hi, is that a 20" ping ride? excelent drumming!!

  • hey great vid... does anyone know how much an ocdp compact drum costs...and where i can get one in the new england area. i love that sound..thanks!

  • i luv the sound of your drums not so the snare though any tips on tuning mine arent tuned that good and i suck at tuning drums

  • i love4 your snare

    i'm gunna steal it

  • Good video i love the tightness of your snare, just how i like mine. Can you please tell me where you got that snare from, I've been searching the web for ages tying to find an OCDP dealer in the UK? Cheers!!

  • neweraforfire - i think Poole Percussion sell OCDP stuff

  • yeh and sound attak stock them aswell

  • me da ela? =p

  • nice snare, I have an ocdp kit and its the greatest thing in the world- check out my vids if u can, - dar

  • To Me It Looks Like Your Top tom is to flat ( as in positioning not tone) other than that your good and v. drums nd cymbals, how much did it cost ?

  • ur pretty good man

just working on keeping the rythem a lil more and ull be all good bro

    and nice kit dude

  • The snare is a lot less tighter now and sounds much better. Thanks for the advise whoever mentioned it...

  • Jonno is and idiot. he probably has only played for like a year and thinks he is hot shit, this is some good stuff.

  • LOL, I hear reverb from the snare drum. Sounds like a natural techno tone. hahaha

  • Thats a very expensive snare that you have tuned horribly.

And you go out of time a lot.

  • DUDE ocdp SNARES ARE THE S#IT. i JUST GOT MINE IN, OH i GOT A WHOLE ORANGE COUNTY KIT, ITS SO SICK!!!!

  • if you ever drop the drums, sen em' my way i fucking LOVE ocdp, it's the only way to go.

  • i have a 6x13 gloss black vented oc snare. great stuff.

  • i love it.

    and the A customes:D

  • what a stupid coment

  • you know nothing.

  • Cheap? check out the OCDP website (OCDRUMS dot com) and you'll see those prices :D

  • nice beats, liking the hi-hats as well.

the drummer in my band tuned an export snare really high and it has a similar sound to yours but has a little less resonance... i'm not sure whether i think that's a good thing or not yet.

  • ur snares sounds reli gud man although i get a cheap ass dixon snare 4 £15 tuned it up the f**k and it sounds just as gud maybe beta! money cant always get u a gr8 sound

  • yer that guys right, looks like your struggling to reach your tom drum,

  • man, you can make any snare sound like that if you tune it up like hell. you don't need an expensive snare to do that. and i can recommend you to have your ride higher, and not keeping your tom flat.

  • That is your personal opinion. he puts ride as he likes and that is good.

  • sounds like a ska snare

    good snare and drumming :)

  • that snare sounds badass man whats the specs on it is it vented? and how many plys is the shell made from?

  • it is 20 play maple, tube lugs 14" 16" vented ocdp you can get some thing similar in guitar center i think the cheapest is 300 or soething like that

  • just to let u know ruharvey zil bel are a waste of money if u already have a bell on ur ride and they are $90 but thats just what ive heard

  • what kind of cymbals do you have (sizes too)?

  • I have all zildjian cymbals. 19'' and 16'' A custom crashes. 14'' z custom bottom hat and K top hat. 20'' a custom ride. 16'' zxt china. Really need to get a better china and a splash plus zil bell!

  • i recommend the K custom hybrid splashes...

  • a tama superstar

  • are tama better than pearl? anyone...

  • Depends on what piece of hardware i would say. Tama have a better bass pedal and hi hat stand in my opinion. Pearl make really nice snare and cymbal stands probs better than tama. what you looking to buy?

  • gibraltar and DW are the best... dont bother with pearl... tama makes some good pieces if you like wht they have...

  • your kit is BEAUTIFUL

  • Cheers dude. Sounds even better now. i need to get a new top head for the tom and it should sound good. Its as good as i can get a pearl export. Soon need to save a by individual custom drums. What kit you got?

  • i have a tama superstar and ive just this second ordered a ocdp snare ;)

i was eyeing one up before anyway but your snare just sounded so darn good

  • Tune tight and there perfect! I love tama, got quite a few bits of hardware from them.

  • Loving the poster geton Pete,

  • cheers dude. Legend...

  • dude that looks exactly like my OC snare. even the same head that i use. quad vented? you can hear my oc snare (but its not my kit or cymbals) if you search "introducing c-pez". that's crazy man.

  • Yer man it looks the same. I love the snare at the moment, its tuned exactly how i like it. what do you think about yours? take care dude. Roo

  • Tuning my snare is a never ending battle for me. I like it tuned far lower than many people, because i really like to hear the resonance and depth of the drum. That said, my snare constantly detunes itself, given that the lugs are relatively loose all the time. When it's right though, it sounds INCREDIBLE. The problem mostly arose when i swapped out with a new batter head, so it should get better over time. Anyway, good job on the video.

  • not bad ur a good drummer

  • its not like it sounds bad... but ocdp is overrated... and overpriced... phattie and Battlefield are the best custom companies in my opinion... and spaun makes some sick snares... and SJC gives the most options for the lowest price...

and to your playing, you got some wierd ostinato kinda things goin... theyre a bit messy but i like them

  • Yeah, the Battlefield drum company build amazing drums, and there are not that expensive like ocdp! I buyed one last year and the Sound is amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yea i really like that company... the best part about them to me is that theyre an hour commute... so i can pick them up myself and not pay shipping if i get a whole kit... even tho im still trying to get a phattie customs kit...

i have a 14" hollow body snare with claw mount wood hoops for my side snare... that thing sounds amazing...

  • wow. claw mount, that's pretty unique on a snare, i bet tuning is a whole lot more consistent though.

  • yea its got a thick woody rinshot and rim click...

actulaly the rims take a bit longer since theres the relative tension form the claw then to the rim then to the head... theyre worth it for sound and appearance...

  • I wouldn't say that OCDP is overrated, they really are great sounding drums. I would definitely agree that they're overpriced though. A true custom OCDP snare (not one that you buy from a dealer) will run you about 1000-1200 dollars, which is ridiculous markup IMO.

  • it is... its jsut like DW...

ive actually found myself becoming partial to porkpie...

  • they cost like 600

  • mine cost £350 reduced from £600 as i know a good drum dealer. Yer they cost a lot, but well worth it in my opinion. what snare you got? Roo

  • i just got a crapy little old pearl session elite snare

    it's 9 year old dude:D i just can't get it away :)

  • nice dude:)

how many does that snare costs? :D

    greetz :)

  • snare is too high u need to loosen it. i wouldnt even realize its ocdp.

  • ok thanks for the advise. I have now and its sounding much better. What kit do you have? Roo.

  • i have a mapex pro m. its not all that great. it does the job though.

  • I actually really like the pro m kits. i was considering getting a crossover 22 for a while.

  • just over 6 years now and im not in a band because i just love playing for my own enjoyment. Ye double pedal can make you lazy but sound great when you can use em right. I wanted a power glide but instead went for the rolling glide instead. Went to see Thomas Lang not so long ago at a clinic tour, he was mind blowing.

  • i own a premier cabria laquer kit, i have a zildjian crash, zildjian splash and zildjian ride also an ocdp snare 20 ply with 4 vents in and black powder coating on the lugs and rims cost me £370 of ebay. Finally i have an iron cobra double pedal (rolling glide) which is awsome.

  • Yer at the moment i have a single iron cobra power glide pedal. Its getting a bit old so will be getting a dw 9000 series pedal. At some point i will get a double but atm like sticking to singles and getting really good on them. how long have you been playing for?

  • what kit do you have?

  • very nice mainly the snare how many vents are in it? zildjian are my favourite too. you play good man i like it.

  • There are 4 vents in it and its a 20 ply keller maple shell. yer it was just me mucking around. I will put some videos up soon of me playing to some songs. cheers for commenting. Roo.

  • Orange County Drum and Percussion does not put Keller shells in their snares. They have their own maple woods. I have 2 orange county snares.

  • what do you think about the sound of the kit?

  • do you reckon ocdp drums are best manufactured?

  • yer i would say one of the best. custom drums are made to be one of a kind and use the best materials dont you agree? what do you think?

  • yeah thats true, ocdp parts also btw are regarded by some as the best parts on the planet, and ur snare has such a....cant explain the sound tbh but i will say its awesome lol

btw i like the double bass work

  • its a real nice fucking kit mate

and a good drumer behind it lol
