During Bruno/Koloff/Pedro/Stasiak/Bru­no/Graham reigns = Die hard WWWF fans were pulling for Chief Jay Strongbow to have at least had a decent run at the belt (He did with Graham, But Joe was past his heyday by this time). Instead they used him as the guy to beat to get a shot. Yet in house shows nobody beat him. You can proclaim the Sammartinos, Austins - Flakes like Hogan and Flair. The crowning jewel of the WWWf was Chief Jay Strongbow - Bar none!!!!

This era of Superstar's career was referred to by Wrestlecrap as "Kung Fool Billy Graham". Sad that Graham returned to the company and had this gimmick. He knew nothing about martial arts, yet was presented as a grand master of some sort. Sort of like Elvis doing karate in his stage show - ridiculous. He deserved much better, but still got a big push with it.
