If I had a band, I would use my voice (if I could sing, btw who cares if your voice is similar to someone elses), then a guitar whilst strumming chords and using a solo. Most chords are at the neck, then a solo. Strumming patterns thats genre blues, metal etc.

No they won't. They'll only ever be a very good AC/DC copy act. The only reason they get so much coverage is because we're starved of the real thing. If AC/DC were still kicking it out like they used to these guys would never have made it beyond 'Best AC/DC pub tribute band'. Interesting at best... empty at worst.
That's how it works. You start out mimicking something great and over time you develop your own style. Many great bands didn't really get their own style and sound nailed down until their second or third albums.
