I have a cd of sarah that i bought to complete my jazz collection, of many artists, like harry james, frank sinatra, les brown, artie shaw, benny goodman, all of the stars of the big band era, i wasn't really sure , but i went ahead and bought it, and
God,, my life it's better now, My favorite song would be, YOU GO TO MY HEAD, With her voice that song has a new meaning, "dont worry about me" it's also one of my favorites
It's a great singer I can't disagree on that, but to say that nobody now a days knows how to make good music, means you haven't looked good enough. There might nobody who equals her, but still there are some great singers out there ^^
Today we have the push button generation, who use telephones to write letters, strangulate decent music with ca-rap, Posturing female performers whose voices sound like they might be constipated, non-flowing heavily punctuated phrasing, with banal vapid words and staccato repetitve beats showing their blatant ignorance regarding anything with true beauty and meaning!
This music makes me think of how men and women behaved and treated one another back then compared to today's music and how we disrespect each other so openly....
QUALITY..SARAH VAUGHAN...if possible any chance of..what kind of fool am i? or time after time?...happy new year 2/ever one...from west sussex u/k...PEACE...
@renegade687 - I agree with you, I am 24 and prefer this music over most of todays music. I have two boys, who are growing up with this music!! I really wouldn't mind the fashion coming back either, more wholesome, rather the slutty ya know..
@renegade687 try not to trouble yourself thinkin why more people don't listen to this. they'd call it pop if they did and it would be a song by lady gaga.. :) we're just a a fine handful here i guess.

Wonderful, of course. You ought to also enjoy Jack Sheldon's rich version of this tune. Different vocal instruments and eras but same heart.
