  • its fine at that speed .. nice video mix

  • Wow! Beautiful song!

  • I luv this song. I have to sing this in school. It is my fav. Though, it is a lil more hip in school when we sing this. Lol

  • Our true intended foreign policy. Go T.O. Multiculturalism and diversity of classes is the way!

  • Love in Christ, greetings-----Monterrey, México. We hava the best Leader and King!!

  • Great words..we serve a Wonderful and Awesome God praise to JESUS!!!

  • I like this version due to the snazzy beat, and only one good voice to make this song sound more inspiring...

  • Black Dragon, I salute you.

  • It's one of my favorites! Yeah! I'm a Christian and a US Army Soldier! So this really describes me! Jesus is coming for His Bride soon, then back at His Glorious Appearing in Jerusalem, 7 Yearsl later. :0)

  • @TheBlackDragon777 Hey Battle, I'm an American soldier too, but that is not what this song is talking about. It is talking about the Church as the Army of God. Thank you for your service.

  • Why do you have to jazz it up. What is wrong with the pipe organ?

  • This version is the only one I have to upload. I did not "jazz it up." If you can send me a pipe organ version, I would gladly upload it here or anywhere for that matter. Thanks!

  • The vocal melody line is *exactly* the same as it has been for centuries. The notes are the same and are all on the beat as they have been. Adding drums and a bass does *not* jazz up a song. Jazzing up refers to changing the rhythm and phrasing of a song and usually also involves improvising the notes of the original melody and deviating from them. None of these things are in this version.

Finally, did the Bible Christians have pipe organs? No, they used the instruments of their day. So do we.

  • @silverstartrucker I actually like this version at least as much as the ones with the huge choirs. More, for some of them...

  • TO Guardian223:

I will not comment on my particular religious beliefs, and I was not watching this video because I like the song. You state, "There is no similarity between Catholics and Protestants". You missed one major point, Protestantism was born from Catholicism in the 1520's. They are both CHRISTIANS. Please do not add false statements to the internet, there already are enough misleading /incorrect statements out there.

  • We believe the same god Jesus and holy spirit as catholic's do. But we accept the authority of the bible not a bunch of holy men who say they can run a church as a business.

  • @roflcoptersoisoi1 But...protestant churches are also run as businesses. They have a board of trustees and shareholders. Besides, someone has to pay the bills. You don't think they give you the utilities for free, do you?

Besides, St. Paul clearly states how the Church should be run and it's very similar to a "business".

By the way, we Catholics also accept the authority of the Bible. We did put it together, after all. It didn't fall from the sky...

  • Thanks, KaiserTristan,

That's very rude though, don't you think so?

    God bless you,

    Jeremy

  • i love this song

  • yeah! I love it too!

  • My favourite Christian Hymn!

Too bad it has become so politically incorrect, and is seldom heard anymore for that reason!

  • Hi, there, Xenonman, nice to hear from you. But it's news for me though that it's politically incorrect and seldom heard nowadays. Sometimes, we try too hard to be politically correct and the result could be worse than being incorrect. God bless you and thanks for the info!

  • I know, my Church sing "Onward Christian Pilgrims" now which is a fine hymn don't get me wrong. But it doesn't have the same omph that OCS has

  • I also love this hymn. Fear not to sing this song. Slander is an attack of the enemy. Hold up the shield of faith and fight with the sword of the spirit which is the word of God.

  • i am a Christain was was just reading Run Baby Run, the inspirational stary of Nicky Cruz, and it mentioned this song and i just had 2 find it.

  • I read the book and watched the movie years ago. Have you heard about the movie? It starred an actor who was really popular at that time, from the TV series Chips. Did you enjoy Twilight the book and movie too?

  • i watched the movie and thought it was kinda good. it was a total blow off compared 2 the book. same thing w/t the Twilight book and movie. i luved both tho

  • If you are Catholic you are also Christian. Catholicism is one of many Christian religions, with doctrine and ritual unique to itself. Think of Christianity as being a house and Catholicism being one of many rooms.

  • can somebody explain the difference between us the christians, and the catholics, please?

  • Theres not much difference, Catholics are Christians except they beleave in Purgatory and have The Pope as head of the church

  • and belive that Mary was holy, and that they should pray to her. And a few more things.

  • The Protestants eliminated some books from their King James version of the Bible because they fearfully sounded too Catholic..

  • There is no similarity between Catholics and Protestants. The Protestants don't have the mass or the sacraments, they just have a get together for a prayer service.

  • No we do beleve in the sacrements, but only a few of them

  • this has always been one of my favourites and will always be thank u a big thank u for posting this God bless u

  • this was played at my dads funeral as his coffin was being taked out, it was picked as he was a scots guardsman
