No thanks-I'll stick with my G19. And for the folks excited about the ability to chamber .45 Colt cartidges as well, keep in mind that the bore is larger than the slug, so they aren't going to be as effective as they would be fired from an actual pistol chambered in .45 colt.

The Judge is a terrible firearm. Had 2.5 and 3” versions. 10 rounds into shooting the Judge at my range, it LITERALLY fell apart in my hands, screws and all. Sent it to Taurus to fix it, got it back, shot it again and it fell apart AGAIN. Sent it back a third time, they fixed it, and I sold it to the range who didn’t really want to buy it, but did because I’m a regular there. It’s what you can expect with a Taurus. Home defense? My family is more important to me than a slick advertising.

You have to shoot one of these to appreciate them. They have a niche to fill. they would make a great house gun, snake gun or a car gun. Not my choice to carry around for a concealed gun. with the new buckshot loads for the .410 this is a potent gun. And the .45 colts are a great round as well. It seems to get bad reviews but speaking from experience, these pistols are great!

went and shot that ammo. i shot a ole 55 gallon drum about 5 yards away and it didnt spread out. just left a hole about the size of a half dollar.. shot the 4 pellet 00 rexio ammo and spread about 7 or 8 inches. that was wierd.. any advice anybody?

I've been thinking alot about buying this gun for the 410 shot function as a snake/trail gun. Has anyone loaded 410's with white phos for bear defense or just for fun like dragons breath? Could this gun fire that? Not sure this video helped me with my buying decision but it was fun to watch and I think you could still eat those water melons. ha ha

difference between them is the regular judge has shorter cyclinder. magnum has 3' chamber. i love mine. not as accurate as id like but with 5-OOO buck shot dont really have to be accurate

I own this weapon, it sits on my bedroom night stand fully loaded. Please call before you visit. The name, "The Judge" is great marketing but obviously false. Taurus would have us believe it was so named because of all the judges buying them for self protection in the courtroom. Can you see all these judges going to gun stores to buy the weapon? "Hey, give me one of them no name .410/.45 revolvers!" Only after huge sales to judges Taurus decided to call it "The Judge".

Nutnfancy gave it a 3 out of 10. His is a larger Cal semi Auto guy so he does not like revolvers. He said it was not accurate with the 45 at over 7 yards and the shot gun shell thing was good for snake killing, but that was it?

To each his own. Interesting hand-shotgun, but I agree its a specialty gun. I would rather a +12 round 9mm or 40 Glock type gun. He did say it was good for snakes, which I could see it would be.

Hey your speaking my language! I have a 9mm P226 Sig 15+1. I think the Taurus Judge is a small niche too--like snake hunting or car-jacking. I'd also hate to have to remember if I had 45 or.410 chambered at any given time.

My mantra is practice, practice, practice--shot placement is all and a smoking round like Corbon DPX +P will get the job done. 45s are wiener compensators.

it's a .45 LC you can tell because a 45 bullet is just one projectile rather than in a shot shell which has many projectiles

One of the coolest shooting videos on YouTube. I have one of these guns that fire the 2.5" .410 shells (3" barrel) and I'm very happy with it. The amount of destruction that comes out of the barrel is incredible, particularly with 00 buck. I've never handled or fired the newer 3" shell Magnum but it's gotta be one BIG gun! The woman in the video must have big, strong hands. The Judge is not a weapon for people with small hands. If you're thinking of buying one, handle both models if you can.
