  • Any programs for computer like this?

  • I don't get what the thing in the back rolling back and forth was for...

  • It's the bass.

  • On garage band, what did you use for the beeping instrument?

  • Those sounds were recorded right from my Segway. Those are the sounds the machine makes in several different scenarios.

  • The video is fun to watch, but what really enchants me is the music. The bell-like sounds are beautiful.

  • What I appreciate even more than your modeling is your ideas of what to model. Sort of like how much better music your Garage Band makes than mine.

Only one thing will make it better: More !

  • i really like it :D

but... if you want to play bass drum and snare drum.. HOW?!!! hahahahaha

  • wat is dat thing supposed to be..the one dat oscilates..

  • I subscribed cuz I'm cool like that

  • Nice job, but whats the point of the thing that rolls around in the back? I tried to listen but I couldn't hear anything that seemed to come out of it.

  • @tannerntannern if you listen closely you can hear a bass and if you look closely theres a little thing on it thats moving with it

  • @tannerntannern there a bass sound in the backround and theres a thing on the thing in the backround thts moving with it

  • how'd u like to get racked by one of those guitar things

  • awesomesauce!

  • i'll give u a subscribe and a thumb up if you say what software do you used!

  • GarageBand, Photoshop, iMovie, and 3ds Max

  • @dhugger What Is 3ds? Im aware about the Nintendo games console, but this is probably different, am i right?

  • I have one thing to say, you need to join the Animusic team.

  • what instrument or item did you use to to make the gear sound?

  • you ruinde animusicD:D:D:D:D:D:

  • Hey your signature D looks exactly like mine, Cool!

  • LOOVE IT

  • How long did this take for you to make?

  • VERY COOL! I wish they had graphical software that sophisticated at the engineering school I went to. Good job with the coordination! Many thanks for posting.

  • funny face at the start jajajajajajajajajajajajaja

  • This video is amazing. I heard it the first time three years ago and thought it was amazing then. And I heard it today and still think it is amazing.

  • LMAO at the big wheel bass thing in the back ground

  • this is just like Animusic if you said it was i wouldn't be able to tell the difference

  • You know, this video's in my favorites, but I don't ever remember watching it....

  • I really enjoyed the music!! I mean no disrespect when I say Animusic has better animation but I truly liked the style and think you should continue! You can be the next generation!

I would like to hear more of your music!

    A new fan

  • I hear tons of bass....get some decent speakers.

  • Excellent job! Yes, for a college student doing it for kicks it's wonderful! If you still have the files to whichever program you used, render it again with higher anti-aliasing please!

  • What's the big pendulum-like wheel in the back for?

    Neat animation :)

  • @DarkMew1337 Thats the bass, if you look closely at the HD version the pole attached to the wheel changes altitude with the the bass.

  • @biodrawxel I don't even hear a bass...

  • @DarkMew1337 yes there's bass but it's quiet...did you watch the HD one?

  • @biodrawxel yes I did. And to the guy below me, I do have decent speakers.

  • Quite good ! I like this as much as Animusic... probably better, actually, as this is homemade stuff. Keep it up !

  • sounds like the theme to a creepy christmas movie

  • Right on! This is an extremely cool video. Thanks for the peak into your mind.

  • Nice work, especially since you did this all on your own!! Animusic doesn't have anything on you!

  • You did a very excellent job on this. If that is really the story, this is fantastic work!!

  • question... where does the bass come from? the back wheel thats balancing something? if not, then whats that wheel for?

  • Excellent effort! Thanks for sharing it. It's in my WOW folder. Truth. :o]. Peace, AHA

  • i love how the drums hit the sticks, and how the pitch of tge strings is controlled by wheels. and the crotales. in fact, even though its not as pretty, as animusic, i really like the originality of this.

  • hey..nice job. :-) very nice job for just the heck of it.

  • why is the bass on a segway lol

  • not bad. but are you making a profit like the creator of animusic, or do you like to brag.

  • Neither. I did this in college for the fun of it, just to see if I could.

  • @dhugger You did well and if they make a third animusic, personally I'd put you in it.

  • @dhugger

well guess what, you could! and very good it is as well.

  • what software did u use

    ?????????????

  • This is just too awesome!! :-D

  • Loved it

  • i love those coggy thing chimes its just as good as animusic if you ask me :)

  • I personally feel that this would go well in an old-school Sonic the Hedgehog game.

  • @OzaiFan Lol

  • This is awesome. I love the subtle detail put into this, such as the anechoic chamber :~)

  • a pice of music reminds me of something.

  • Good job! I love the clever instrument designs. It took me a moment to realize that the guitar strings were being tuned to specific notes by the rolling wheels... I'd love to see an expanded version of that drum machine with more drums.

  • great job!

  • That seems alot like animusic!

  • I wonder how long it takes before somebody actually starts building stuff like this.

  • Excellent. :D could have used more detail and action movement with the instruments, but considering this takes lots of work to do, its very fantastic. :D 10/5

  • Is this supposed to take place in a factory?

  • this video is exactly like animusic perficaly animated with the music

  • can i ask you wich program u used to do this incredible work :D?

  • Nice work.

    5/5

  • i think this amazing, good enough to be compared to animusic! well done!

  • LOL Awesome. Chicken soup for any nerd's soul. Nothing beats computer generated music videos featuring robots and computer parts. LOVED IT.

This kind of music really deserves it's own genre. The music like this, and Animusic can't really be described. The only way I can generalize it is that it is how a robot would make pop and rock music.

    Well done.

  • that was beast. thats almost as slick as animusic. nice job man

  • pretty good but u can improve on introducing things

  • my only question?

what do u use other than that

    good job

  • not bad, tho' its a touch repetative. you my want to work on more interesting melodies, but other than that, top notch.

  • I agree - the track isn't dynamic enough to make it really good. Excellent creative eye, and very good animation work over all. Great job on the consistent rendering and lighting, good camera work - if a bit fast. If you were looking to imitate Animusic, I'd say let your scenes do the work for you, instead of trying to make it more interesting with your camera paths.

    Well done, though =)

  • pretty awesome. i wish i could do stuff like this

  • This is pretty good. I would think this is animusic.

  • i love the song, if animusic heard it, they might think your awsome...

  • Sweet! What modeling program did you use?

  • Incredible. While not as good as animusic, still incredible, especialy considering you did it yourself.

  • This is great!!!

  • you should make more or coöperate with animusic to make more with them then you can maybe make it to perfection

  • Yeah, great song and a great video. If one were to compare it to animusic, I'd say this is worthless. But, on the other hand, almost anything would be worthless compared to animusic.

    Wonderful work. Keep going.

  • yeah i want it too please, i like it

  • Whats the name of the song?

Can i have a link to it and download it...I want this song on my Ipod, Please?

  • whats ur email? i'll send it to u

  • Comment removed

  • the name of that song is harmonic balance.

  • well done man great like animusic

  • Animusic is still better =P

  • Haha, gee thanks. You gotta admit though, not bad for a college student who did it just to see if he could ;-)

  • @dhugger don't listen to him -.- this animusic RULES!!!

  • @dhugger Well, I think you did a great job and it's a really cool video! I think that it's great that you did something like this just for fun! ^_~

  • @dhugger WHOA

    THIS IS AMAZING. =D

anyone who doesn't like it can go eat sh*t

    cuz THIS IS AWESOME!!!!! <3 <3 <3

  • What dod you study in college O_O ?

  • @RioTurtle Jerk!

  • what duz the big roll-ey thing in the back do w/ the vid?

  • It's the bass. The tube moves up and down as the frequency changes. You need a decent set of speakers to hear it.

  • Yeah, I can hear it on some speakers, but not most. You definitely need to make it louder.

  • @dhugger lol that was the answer to my question, whre the bass came from nd if it was the wheel

  • @nakitaroo it makes a low music sound

  • @nakitaroo it's a segway bTW

  • Atleast now i'm not the only one that thinks music is the most beautiful thing in the world, and that anything can make some.

  • You've read my mind kjh522

  • Me two !!

  • this is epic win, on like.... 47 levels. very good job

  • wow. sttep aside, animusic!

  • DAMN! That was nice.

  • know this is makeable not like sum anymusic

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cool?

  • not baaaad!

  • this is fantastic! good job!

  • I love 1:10-1:30 especially

  • Great job :) You should send it to animusic and see what they think :P x

  • is the wheel in the back acting as a metronome?

  • can i Get an MP3 for this song?

  • Very good!

  • Gooood job :DDDDdddddd

  • Cool piece, but... is the audio a bit out of sync, or that's just my old rig ?

  • That's youtube, unfortunately.

  • @RainyShadow LOL TUBE and a slow Rig will Kill the Sync 512 mb ram and a 10 mps worx good (I also suggest a i5 Vpro HD MB from intel the dq57tm is a lil raw ie just released it needs a min of 2gb ram to run it it has hdmi 1080P output cant test the HDMi No Hd Tv LOL but it makes tube more synced

  • I've kinda wondered about who would imit8, if not emuL8, Animusic. I must say, dhugger, that your video was artistically impressive. My one criticism was how the large wheels could EZLy move those bars so quickly. But aside from that, wow! I really like your stuff!

  • Could be the wheel is free, but there's a big motor somewhere under (or within) the bar, moving it back and forth. That way, the bar would in fact be moving the wheel.

    eh?

  • heh... that showed wayne lytle that hard work and dedication can create somethin better than what a program can...

  • Nice. Too bad your domain expired though.

  • yeah

  • Very Impressive :D

  • Bravo, une bien belle mélodie, une bien belle animation avec les moyens du bord ... Continue ! J'ai hâte d'en voir d'autres !

  • Animusic or not, i still like it....VERY good job!!

  • i want the mp3 4 this, too!!

    AWESOME!!!

  • This is very good. It could use a little polishing as far as graphics go, but otherwise, this is excellent.

  • Great Job!

  • VERRY NICE TRY. THATS VERY GOOD

  • awesome

  • teach me please.TEACH ME!!!

  • wow u made this AWESOME

  • can i get the mp3 4 this?

  • very close to EPIC

  • awsome!!!keep up the good work!!

  • what software did u use?

  • he didnt make it

  • uhh, yes he did

  • he did, it says so in the damn descrip, this isn't animusic.

  • I didn't get the purpose of that wheel in the back, but great work!

  • I really like the music! It's my kind of music...not a lot of people say that now a days. but it's really good.I love it. The animation is really good too.

    Great Work!

  • bar the auto segway at the back i think the could be built with out to much hassle

  • fantastic, i like it very much!

  • Simply amazing, keep doing what you do.

  • awesome stuff dude

  • I love to watch this! I mean it's so cute the way that wheel goes back and forth!(I'm not sure why!)

  • It's really cool and a nice beat!

  • im still impressed though

  • its a really great. But the reason animusic created the proprietary software was to make it seem more like the music was actually being played by the instruments. anistudio breaks down midi files and using the 12 algorithms that were wrote for that program syncs them to the animation making it look more real. To get your animation to look more real the instruments need to react slightly before the note is played. right now it looks like it reacts to the music kinda like a light show.

  • youtube isn't the best for showing a "quick" response. The notes are hit at the proper times. Animusic wrote the software more to save time animating than to strike the notes at the right times. Traditional keyframing to them is a long and tedious process.

  • true but here is a quote they said "Our technique differs significantly from reactive sound visualization technology, as made popular by music player plug-ins. Rather than reacting to sound with undulating shapes, our animation is correlated to the music at a note-for-note granularity, based on a non-real-time analysis pre-process. Animusic instruments generally appear to generate the music heard, rather than respond to it."

  • post a link so I can download it directly to my computer, then I will give you my proper analysis of it.

  • Right, visualizations for say iTunes react to frequencies and basically make a fancy "graph." Like Animusic, my instruments' movements need to start before the notes are hit. Again, Animusic's software simply automates this process, where I (and everyone else who tries this who doesn't want to write tons of code) need to do it manually.

  • Love that beginning part. Go little beeping things go!

  • its pretty good im inpressed

  • how did you animate this?!

  • I just Think You Should Use More Colour

  • very interesting video. Just proves that the people of Animusic aren't the only ones who can produce good animated music work ;) I love animusic's stuff, and I was happily surprised to see another doing similar work.

    Kudos to this!

If I may make a constructive comment... I couldn't find the "bass" element until I looked really hard. Perhaps highlighting the bass "zoom" or adding a colored light would have made it stand out more.

  • Wow nice, you even animated it by hand. That takes some talent there. Good job.

  • well done m8

  • nice job mate i have to admit watching animusic vids then finding yours, your doing reallly well. keep up the work :P gotta look for more!

  • Nice start good job. Single man animation. 9.5 out often.... then the guitars came in... 10 out of 10.

  • Looks like someone has a future!
