Umm... No. A decent emulator (all of them, I hope) always opens the ROM file for reading only. Writing is not possible. No writing, no corruption. No corruption, no fucking.

Also, a decent emulator, or any other program for that matter, ought to have exception handlers for dealing with fubarred situations like this. And even if it would crash, your operating system should protect other processes from the rogue process. (That's why Windows isn't even a serious alternative.)

So, again... How? :)

ya legend of zelda was sorta, i just tried it cuz i knew they were from the same engine. i wouldn't reccomend trying the LoZ one i did it for the sake of a vid. i've only done it once.

@Boltazo why do you care if it messes up your rom?

just copy it and use one of them, or if you fuck it up, redownload.  it's not like it costs money
