  • warum postest du auf meinem channel ieine scheisse ich wär kein deutscher sondern amerikanischer jude?

  • Lyrics in the comments. Do it faggot.

  • @Badaware Catastrophe, Rotting Garden, Now Way Out, Void Malign, Judged Ones (Anything from their album Harsh Generation and first album/demo Inhumane Amusement)

I think they are releasing a new album soon called Timewave: Zero so that should be good (:

  • Just listen to the music Youtube's Comment Thread was the stupidest idea in the world.. All it does is cause little trolls who want to argue about everything..

  • Terror EBM or Cyber Punk sound better than Aggrotech.

But either way grendel are grendel! No one can compare in my opinion.

  • Dude who gives a fuck about what genre it is. this is Grendel.

thats all you need to worry about ;D

    they are fucking amazing.

  • this song sounds like it is about the USA...

  • @MrSpemat Well I feel its about a super power conquering the world making people give up their cultures for the american way. I only assume american because of the whole burger thing and it does mention Disney.

  • @chavkill2 can't make one comment about the usa without offending you people… lighten up...

  • @MrSpemat Im english...

  • @chavkill2 same difference…

  • @MrSpemat fuck the USA.

  • this rocks

  • Terror EBM

  • strašná píčovina..

  • this song is so awesome <333333

  • i love the natural born killers samples they use :)

  • @morph995 oh dear, what has this world come to.

  • Aww, yes. Music to slaughter zombies to....

  • This is so cool :D very good!

  • look up sludge metal on wikipedia; it's a real thing.

  • @tehxsikkest aggrotech is good enough

  • @tehxsikkest Shit, I was listaning to that stuff before it was moderatly cool

  • very great video & song. good beat & great voice. love it ;)

    greets MECKI

  • Microphone whispering with distortion pedal, big ups the EBM vox massive.

  • This is the first time i heard about this band.

Why i didn't about her before?

  • yawn, tres droll

  • @ANDROIDHEART Not to offend you in any way, but I have not cared at any time what this music is called, I call it good music and that ends it for me. Greets from Europe.

  • @Xavromor Industrial Music.

  • I hate the name aggrotech, and wonder where it came from. It sounds like something teeny boppers come up with to make it sound more cutting edge. All I know is those of us who have been into this type of music since it came out called it electro industrial. Aggrotech cybergoth yadda yadda, take your stupid crap somewhere else. If it's something that has been used in Europe though then sorry, but in America aggrotech the word, only has been used for the past 5 or so years and it sounds silly.

  • @ANDROlDHEART Sounds like someone is DYING to be different. It's ok. I still love you. Although isn't electro industrial EBM? Just sayin'.

  • @juushy Take some old ebm pioneer like bigod 20, then play some Suicide Commando. Do they sound like the same genre to you?

  • @ANDROlDHEART Aggro tech, aggro metal. aggro-culture- Agriculture, get it? xD

  • @PrPirtply Made me laugh!

Hmm metal is about is bad I think. Black metal, death metal, viking metal, nu metal, metal core, sludge metal, goth metal, metal metal metal!!

  • @ANDROlDHEART wtf is sludge metal? seriously... you people are just making up genre's now aren't you?

  • @ANDROlDHEART Dont hate on viking metal! We vikings will come and pillage and rape your ass :D

  • @ANDROlDHEART I'm from England and have never heard someone say aggrotech, I've only ever heard it called industrial.

  • @ANDROlDHEART: lol electro industrial is totally different from aggrotech, you hating the word doesnt change that. If you want to hear electro industrial try front line assembly.

  • Actually actual text.

  • The sample from the beginning is from a very funny b-horror movie called Evil Ed from Sweden.

  • i love this video, grendel is amazing!

  • This is absolutely one of my favorites! it, scary, reminds me of George Orwells novel '1984'

@CallingCrowe - I think the terme 'melodic aggrotech' is very suiteable! I also have been using the term melodic, to explain the essentials of the track.

  • this song is so good when i have my speakers oon PAX

  • Respond to this video... thats why we stick w/less specific genre names and cal this just electronica,is it not?

  • @thelastgodslayer: The problem comes not with classifying one band, but with distancing it from others in order to categorize for purpose of interest.

    Daft Punk is electronica, too.

I prefer to use the musical characteristics as they are on paper in the categorization, it makes for better accuracy.

"Melodic Aggrotech" is the term I use here.

  • @CallingCrowe Aggrotech - aggressive techno. isn't it? It can't be melodic cuz.. there is no melody. just artificial sounds. this is not metal. anyway great music. everyaggrotech band got it's style, nachtmahr militaristic, agonoize suicidal, dawn of ashes horror movies trip

  • Oh shit, the fucking bass in the beginning omg.

  • opening ftw!

  • @Sypherious51

Thank you so much for the reply and I know a lot of there quotes are from full metal jacket but i don't think this one is but I could easily be wrong do you know what part?

  • This kinda music is like an introduction into a new... dark world. LOVE IT!

  • i want to destroy my brains

  • @morph995

"Pax Psychosis is just a matter of time

With a cold steel logo pointing to the sky

Free burgers for you, once you've paid the price

Just take in those rules and never ever think twice" (8)

  • @morph995 i think their all awesome :D

  • Just...BEATIFUL...

  • Where is the quote from where he says your disease is confusing you my friend at the start

  • @ShneII

    Full metal jacket.

  • Angerteeeeeeeech!

  • this music is FUCKING AWESOME WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • great synth and lyrics!

  • why to category things it's just stupid, my opinion O.o

  • Wahtever this music is called now, I don´t care. It is simply great and this is what counts. :-)

  • J adore de video !!!

  • Grendel is Grendel, fussing over genre is silly. they consider themselves part of the Industrial scene. Thats final.

  • Amazing Song

  • The Best!

  • Great Music!!!!

    Geile Mucke!!!!

    Класна Музика!!!!!

  • great music, great lyrics, great group!

Guys, please don't kill yourself over the style of this stuff! That's quite narrow minded....

  • @icychaos13 Industrial>Post-Industrial>EBM>Harsh EBM>Electro-Industrial>Aggro-Tech. Yes.

  • @MagnitudePerson Heh, long list... hence one of the reasons I laugh at anyone who calls all electronic music "Techno". Yes, I've had arguments with idiots who thought that Grendel was Techno

  • As an FYI, wikipedia is written by users such as yourself and myself. While i agree with you, take wikipedia with a grain of salt.

  • GRENDEL IS SO UNDER RATED !! it should b at least 2 million views for this vid !!

    Hail to Grendel

  • Veiw's dosen't judge quality.

  • @typefacee youtube doesn't judge grammar

  • ssccoorr:

NO! Then they will become like all the other mainstream bands out there! Keep Grendel in the darkness of the underground!

  • @headesplode

    Totally agree with You :D

  • this guy makes sense :P grendel is awesome!!!

    hail grendel :P

  • This is not "industrial. This type of music is called Aggrotech. Is kinda new and I love it.

See also bands like Suicide Commando, Combichrist, Panzer AG... and many others. For more, consult wikipedia: aggrotech.

  • your correct and wrong on that one, Industrial is a very broard terminology it is the genre that covers aggrotech aka harsh ebm, synthpop/futurepop, darkwave, noize and the rest. which are sub-categorys

  • Combichrist is amazing. i especailly love their album Today We Are All Demons

  • the early industrial ive heard generally dark psychedelic or concrete. i understand how it morphed however. but seriously lol and some people tell me about "industrial bands" like rammstein, tool, and nine inch nails.

  • Hey, what about Rabia Sorda, and Hocico??? : ]

    Love this music.

  • great song!

  • Pax Latin for peace

    Psychosis hallucinations or delusional beliefs

    Nuff said cracking song ^^

  • "Pax Psychosis is just a matter of time, with a cold steel logo pointing to the sky, free burgers for you, once you've paid the price, just take in those rules and never ever think twice"

  • Pax Psychosis is just a matter of time

With a cold steel logo pointing to the sky

Free burgers for you, once you've paid the price

Just take in those rules and never ever think twice

  • The burger is a lie.

  • lol

  • Is it a tasty and/or nutritious lie?

  • This Song Is Great I love the beginning :)

  • Epic tune!

  • goos song

  • Can I just state that Grendel are More Aggrotech/EBM that industrial. Industrial is one of those genres that people dump everything into when they don't know what they're talking about.

  • lawl true true

  • Correct me if Im wrong but isnt Aggrotech/EBM subgenres of Industrial? So calling it Industrial isnt neccesarily wrong but less specific?

  • no industrial is an other style of musik ... like "Einstürzende Neubauten" ....

  • You are perfectly right in saying that. But anyone who calls this industrial is allowing music like this to be put in the same category as things like NIN, which is all well and good if you don't care much for specifics.

Which is in all honesty like saying linking park are death metal.

  • ..is ok, we know, ... -.-

  • @ooeeygooey Isn't NIN industrial metal?

    Grendel is Aggrotech

  • But NIN isn't Industrial! It's hard rock Top 40 at best.

  • @ooeeygooey But NIN isn't Industrial. It's Top 40 at best.

  • @celt33760 actually they are industrial rock.

  • Depends on who you ask, I think they're more of offshoots than subcategories.

  • no i don't see them every day but i'm a friend of the singer and i have done a fotoschoot with them and sometimes they use my dads club as shoot area so...

  • Right. Either cough up some proof or be silent.

  • Yeah, I bet you seem them every day.

  • see them*

Jesus christ how the hell did I mess that one up?

  • The more I listen to it, the more I like it and the better my original finds sound.

But how did 'industrial' receive its name?

(Btw, isn't it: "Comments that don't relate to the video will be deleted."?)

  • Comment removed

  • Well some of the earliest bands who began experimenting with samples, machine sounds and electronics(Throbbing Gristle for example) were signed to a self established record label called Industrial Records.

    And that name apparently stuck.

  • Oh, yeah, that's a nice explanation, thanks. xD

  • The "There's something wrong with your brain" part sends pleasurable shivers down my spine for some reason.

  • I dont usually listen to music like this , but this is pretty damn good .

  • The samples aren't a plague, it's part of what defines the genre. If you don't like it, gtfo.

  • I like the song, I just think it could be better without the lyrics. Plenty of groups within the genre don't use movie samples. Also, I was discussing this music video, that's what the comments are here for drew! If you don't like that, then I suggest YOU gtfo (and grow up while you are at it)

  • @skralljt Your response made me laugh.

  • @skralljt Over two years later, this reply still makes me laugh.

  • Perfect Intro...

  • grendel is harsh EBM though

  • i have always tought Grendel is Harsh EBM....

  • I always thought grendel as good music =)

  • I always liked this song - the lyrics and violin especially. We need more songs like this with violins.

  • Comments on the song: Nice, strong lyrics which are meaningfull(atleast for me...) I mostly prefer the repetive stuff after each unique lyrics-line(forgot what its called..) cause' it has an unique sound, maybe its just those clips like those from "The Bunkr" and the title off the song "Pax Pshycosis" that has a sick feeling which require rebels, i dunno lol. My opnion -

  • I love those clip!!!!

  • And let's not forget that why is it called Aggrotech? Aggro basically means Aggressive, so it needs aggressive beats! As for the tech, speak for yourself, a techno. And add melody to it! A lot songs I heard have melody, I heard a lot of melody lines/sounds in aggrotech songs.

  • Aggro-tech = new 'harsher' EVOLUTION form off EBM.

    Try: Panzer AG - Bereit

  • Ohh and Electro-Industrial should have alot off(ALOT) sub/fusion-genres like Electro and Post-industrial aswell, if we had to be 100%.

These days REGULAR "Industrial" dsn't excists anymore, mostly Industiral Metal (not rock so much), some Post-industrial experiments/whith elements, Futurepop-stuff, and "Electro-Industrial" which really, is mostly stereotypically types off "Harsh" EBM. And Aggro-tech is mostly just harsher EBM whith stronger beats, if not more, etc. - I HATE REPETIVE MUSIC!!!

  • Oh god... I don't care, to me, Aggrotech, hellektro, terror ebm, harsh ebm, whatever else it has other names, is the same thing; no matter what slight or small or ONE difference it had. Say that to loads of other kinds of music... Lyrics doesn't matters, that's not what it makes a sub-genre, it's the sound.

As for other things, I really don't care, except the thing to know what's first, what's correct, and what's a fact. That's all, thank you.

There was Dark Electro, like yelworC, but got--

  • Well... my point wasn't directly pointed at you, OUT OFF ALL ON YOUTUBE WHO READS.

I just save an discuission and wanted to make a point/opnion, i ddint even qoute you, i think you mistaken me whith some others who are typing/arguieng whith you...

  • THE CRACK DSNT WORK ANYMORE!

  • Uhhh, to people arguing this sounds Industrial, it isn't really...

I thought Industrial isn't entirely electronic but to have some acoustic instruments, as well found objects (like Throbbing Gristle for an example). This sounds more like Aggrotech/Harsh EBM (honestly, I think they're the fucking same thing). This all "could" be considered Post-Industrial.

Or not to sound like some confused genius fuck, I say shut the hell up, and enjoy the damn music!!!

  • THIS IS ELECTRO-INDUSTRIA

INBDUSTRIAL COMPOSED "ELECTRONICALLY/ELECTRO" But iagree, Today ppls call Elector-industiral as "gotihc hardcore EBM" wtf..

  • Wtf indeed. I don't even acknowledge Goth as a part of some electronic, "industrial" stuff... Jesus Christ, people really left things out of control.

And this song by Grendel doesn't sounds like Electro-Industrial to me, more like terror EBM.

  • Ohh and REAL Aggrotech isn't the same as Harsh EBM, neither is Hellektro, Terror Electro, or TBM"Terror Boydy Music, sometimes called "Terrorfieng Body Music" the same, it really isn't, remeber, like the unlimited universe(multiverse) theres allways a little differences in the sub/fusion-genres, but ofc to the human "not-caring-about-specific/small-diferences-ears" ppls dont really see diferences, however there is large and small diferences altogether.

  • I agree, i have been told ppls this like... million...-no, billion times that aslong as i can show u that the style off "This song by This band" then you know what type/style/etc, im referring to.

  • Does anyone know good and affordable software people use to create music like this??

  • ZOMG musicgenres are grey areas. News flash, people define music differently in many cases, what might be straight up country to one person is country-rock to someone more educated in that style, what's industrial to one person is aggrotech or EBM to another. There are so many sub-genres, just stop arguing about what to call it and enjoy the damn good music.

  • Anyone care to recommend some other songs/bands that combine harsh electro beats, insidious vocal work (whether harsh whisper, twisted screams or distorted chanting/singing) and a good pinch of electric violin or similarly ethereal-sounding influences?

I already habitually enjoy Tactical Sect and Suicide Commando, and obviously this very cool song although I'm not too familiar with Grendel yet.

    Anyway, suggestions welcome people!

  • psyclon nine

  • Cenobita. Specific songs by him: Slaves, On Line Trinity

  • @AngryDutchLizard

Cenobita is recommended. Good songs to get you started with him: Slaves, On Line Trinity, Niño Atomico

  • probably could have been a bit louder in the vocals, tactical sekt's cover was better imo.

  • Dude if you knew anything about industrial you would not even say any thing about industrial more like aggrotech not industrial like Throbbing Gristle, or SPK, not P9

  • Who does know where can i find this music? pleaz!

  • try some wumpscut.. thats right up ur area..also, Panzer AG. and Feindflug

  • totally same thing with me, but I MAKE power noise as well

  • 1 of mine favorits tracks and 1 of mine mostly played tracks

  • Note: I was talking about belgian Front 242.

    Not this dutch band Grendel.

    Sorry for that unclearity. ;)

  • Calling people retarded on the internet only works if you spell it right.

  • Discussing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win you`r still retarted..

  • That's so true!!!

  • "Retarted"
