...Is it -really- titled "The Right Stuff?" That's kind of epic...
For those who don't know, it's a reference to the novel/movie The Right Stuff, which was about the early days of the space program in America. The story deals with the pilot mindset and is full of real-life GAR (the titular Right Stuff, basically). Gilliam's last name actually comes from one of the people it follows, Chuck Yeager, the first man to break the sound barrier, and generally regarded as a god of flying.
The Glory Star is a squad of test pilots for the Earth Federation who pilot the prototype Valgora units, of which Setsuko is the youngest recruit.
Setsuko Ohara is a timid rookie pilot whose life is near-irreparably broken as misfortune besets her teammates and herself. She is one of the Sphere holders, the few people in the universe with the right to become the controller of destiny, and her powers begin to awaken through the intense sorrow and despair she is forced to feel by Asakim.
That's true. Tastes are key when it comes to things like this.
If I was to be asked for my opinion, I would say that, while Rand's theme is good because it is full of hot-bloodedness and strength, Setsuko's themes are describe a person who never gives up on her dreams, and is willing to give everything she has for them. The sensation that gives to you makes it as good as Rand's, but in its own way.
Meh Ganleon is better
No offense I like this one but Rand wins for SCRAP NI NAREEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it really is "The Right Stuff." It's even written in English in the BGM select screen, so no guesses due to Kana.

Hell yeah. Just gave a speech on him in Public Speaking class. Real life GAR.

That's waht it means? I thought "The Right Stuff" meant Setsuko had huge boobs, ergo the "right stuff" part.
Get it? She's the girl with the right stuff! Hahhahahahahaha! Ha?
ok, I admit that was lame...D:

Can someone give me a brief rundown on who Setsuko and Glory Star are and how they fit into the plot?

I can literally see "I won't give up" in front of my eyes just by listening to the theme.
Also, Balgora's firepower > Taunhauser. Well, that's SRW for you. XP
