  • Tallsky, thank you for filming this for the families that cannot be there to see them off. My son is on the Ninitz, departing on his third deployment. Your vidoe are special as I was a part of the Tiger Cruise arriving in June 2008. I occasionally watch the video to remember being with my son and that great ride back from Hawaii. God's speed for a safe return for these brave young Americans. Be careful up there !

  • I also thank you for your efforts. My son is on the Nimitz with the tophatters. This is his third deployment. We cannot be there to see him off and your videos have been very special to us. Calm Seas and Gentle Winds to all of you patriots. Thank you for your service. We can't wait to see you return thanks to Tallsky.

  • Thanks so much for this video! My husband is on the Nimitz and this is our first deployment. I was there when it was pulling out and it was an emotional site with all the wives, kids, parents, siblings waving their goodbyes and good luck to our Sailors.

I pray for everyone aboard for their safe return and for everyone left behind who's holding their cribs down for strength.

    Thank you!

  • Beautiful shots, Jim! My son is the one in white ;-) Thank you VERY much for your time, effort and talent!

  • Thank you so much from this Navy mom. I am speechless sitting here watching this.

My son called me as they were pulling out... I can imagine that one of those shadowy figures below the flight deck is him on the phone to me. Fair winds to all our men & women with the Nimitz group of ships.

I pray for peace and strength

for those left behind who keep the "homefires"burning.

Thank you, Tall Sky, thank you.

May you be there with your camera whenever she returns to the USA!
