I was at this concert and the reason why the video seems out of sync is because it was re-dubbed in the studio - just like some parts of the Budokan album.
@joslow I think the reason you're asking is because it goes like out of place at some parts like out of sync?
this is the post I transfered from the VHS concert into a DVD ( I first saw this when it was released on BETA only) to the PC into a program & up loaded on YT but then later I found the released on DVD & I reposted, here it is:
MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP [ REPRISE / I'M GONNA MAKE YOU MINE ] UK LIVE 1983.
oh, let me take the black stripes off the sides of this video, LOL!!
@AXEFLYERFV I forgot to answer your question ,sorry, the way video is ,is the same way it was released, I didn't altered anything or mess with it!!
wish it could've been recorded with the same quality as the MSG 30TH ANNIVERSARY DVD!! this concert would've been huge!! such a shame ,Schenker didn't get all the support he & Band mates deserved to come up with much better DVD concerts!!
what a fucking brilliant song!!!it brings back great memories, a pity they don't music like this anymore.saw them live in '84 at the hammie odeon schenker was on fire that night.i agree derek st. holmes is a great vocalist.long live rock n' roll.
answer me this... why hasn't st holmes done a thing since cat scratch fever worth a damn?he's fucking great. i said it in another post and i'll say it here,he should have taken st.holmes full time. schenker is god by the way.
@krevice yes, I agree with you,Holmes would've been perfect for Schenker, but Holmes wanted to more than what he was doing here which is understandable coming from Ted Nugent's excellent line up ,but he left after this tour & only sang on 1 song on the Built to Destroy album!
& he did worked on some projects with other guitarists but didn't go anywhere!!
is just too bad,he is a great singer & performer,I saw him with Nugent years ago!!
@AXEFLYERFV He actually left before the end of the tour. Middlesborough was done with Tony Verity doing vocals and some guitar (I think) from behind the PA
Ha - I was at this concert. I remember the guys with the video cameras dashing around all over the place. I'd forgotten, though, that this vocal was taken by Derek St Holmes. Was this the year that Vandenberg were the support act?
Really??? Have you been to this concert? That's fucking great! I rebember seeing this concert video back in 1984, and this is what made me to play guitar back! I was 15 or 16 years old back then and bought a cheap rip off flying V. And I'm still playing guitar!
a recent interview mike was asked why derek sang on this concert and he said he doesn't remember why he was even there lol......he cracks me up to no end.
a posting like this is what makes you tube great. I would never be able to find kick ass music like this in a store, especially here in America. Not enough " bling ". thanks for posting this. I hadn't heard it since the early 80's.
this is a classic...typical schenker song that had all the chops but got lost in all the promotional game of the music bizz...this should have gone hit status in america but most people in america have their head up their ass when it comes to good hardcore rock.
Yeah, they'd rather tune into Britney Spears retards. I'd like to give her the palozz, but that's about it. I'd wear a condom, heck, I'd likely put on two! Getting back to the music, Schenker would never play those record company politics games. And yes, it would have helped to get rid of Barden on vocals and hire St. Holmes permanently. Great voice. He might have been able to sing some of Bonnet's stuff, too.
Derek St. Holmes? WTF? MSG did some shows with Nugent on this tour but Derek was long out of his band by then. Don't know how this happened but it's great.
So melodic perfect this performance! St. Holmes really shines here and MS in that awesome 83 form. Thanks for posting this Axe!

I LOVE this song w/ Derek singing the lead vocals on it.
I really think they could have gotten a big hit on radio if they recorded this song w/ Derek on vocals and released it as their first single.
Just Awesome...
Thanks AXE

It may have had something to do with the performance that Gary Barden gave on the studio version.

Is Gary drunk or is he always mumbling like this? :P
Derek St. Holmes has a great voice, and this song sounds great sung together with Barden doing backup vocals.

I think Derek should sing this one instead of Barden in the album. his voice matches well with this song.

St Holmes is so much more powerful and precise live. His pitch is flawless. I like Barden but he's more of a studio guy.
